@Snowy tell me about like woah sometimes I just had to stop reading and think about the whole plot that Juno has been setting up... I'm actually rereading the series and I can't wait for the Blood of Olympus
Currently reading 3 books! And i'm buddy reading them with wonderful goodreads friends :)- Angelfall
- Hush, Hush
- Divergent
You all have great book choices! Right now I'm in the middle of Allegiant! Kinda nervous to finish it...
Started reading "Divergent". On page 65 absolutely loving it. So far living up to the hype for sure.
@James looks like we're both in the same trilogy! You'll love it. If you read fast enough you might catch up to me in Allegiant:)
@Rebecca I generally read rather slowly, but wow this is a beautifully paced book. I find myself taking it everywhere and reading every time I get a chance. Although stylistically very different, it kinda reminds me of one of my all-time favorite works of science fiction literature, "Brave New World".
@James I'm a pretty fast reader but I'm taking my time on Allegiant because I don't want it to end...sad I know. I've heard of Brave New World but I've never read it! I guess I'll just have read it next.
right now I'm reading The Amulet of Samarkand by Jonathan Stroud, but I'm almost finished and have to find something new
Rebecca wrote: "You all have great book choices! Right now I'm in the middle of Allegiant! Kinda nervous to finish it..."Allegiant is amazing! Hope you'll enjoy it, prepare for the feels though lol
@Rebecca ahaha ready or not you just have to finish its truly... Something. No but it's really a good ending, as in very well written.
@Rebecca Oh I do the same thing; purposely slow down near the end of a great book to make it last. Another 30 pages into "Divergent" and just hooked. Digging this Dauntless faction and how the author is setting this up. Great stuff!Although not as famous or well known as "1984", "Brave New World" is in many ways the original dystopia novel https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
@James Thanks for the recommendation! I noticed you're an author of a few books, I'll have to try them out sometime:)
I'm reading aallegiant now. Can't wait until the movie! And also reading for the thirf time The Fault in our Stars
@Rebecca ommg yes!! No I don't want to discourage you of reading the book it's just that it's hard to talk about if you haven't read it till the end. But pleaaaase finish and then we'll be able to talk about,
I love a Fault in Our Stars, tell me what you think! & if you read Divergent and Insurgent you mind as well finish the series, the last one is pretty good
Melanie wrote: "Just finished Insurgent and I'm debating if I should read Allegiant. I loooooved Divergent, I started loving Insurgent but then towards the middle it got kinda iffy for me (good scenes were cut too..."I felt that way about Insurgent too! I started disliking Tris halfway through. But I found Allegiant better than Insurgent. It is an overall good book. My best friend thinks its perfect. I don't think the same, but it was a nice conclusion to the series. As for the ending, liking it is up to you. Some people loved it, but it honestly didn't satisfy me. Also, Tris becomes a stronger character in Allegiant. So that was a plus.
I finished Insurgent and started Allegiant yestarday. I luuv them all but the best is Divergent! <46
I'm reading the saving angle series but I also read the divergent series it was good but I did not like the ending at all!
@Grace I know right?! It was terrible, I was fuming the whole day and telling my friends about how mad I was :|
Currently I'm reading Vampire Academy, so I'm ready for the movie. Afterwards I plan to read Everneath. I hear it's a great book.
@Jinnie haha I wanted to! & then after she told me the ending, she started explaining what happened in the book. I practically had to put my hand over her mouth to make her stop talking ;D
@Grace ya i have a friend like that;) in 5th grade she almost told my friend that Santa wasn't real;)!
@Grace I know right?! After that I made her make a pact with me to never tell anyone Santa wasn't real unless they admitted it first;)
