My name is Michael, Im an aspiring author with two books completed, one of which is self published (the second is due to be published shortly).I'm just looking to make some new friends who share the same interests/passions, and maybe get to increase the focus on my work :)
Michael J Mitchell
Hi! My name is Callie. I am a stay at home mom to two busy little boys. In my other life I was a PreK teacher (aspiring to move up to 6th grade Social Studies- bit of a jump, huh?) I love to read. I love to re-read my favorite stories. I'm on my fourth copy of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and I'm on my second copy of Bill Bryson's Note from a Small Island. I impatiently await for my favorite authors' new releases.
I'm here to give my brain some exercise, fall in love with some new books and maybe make some new friends.
And I apologize now for my long posts. Friends joke that I like to write novels. ;-)
Harry Potter is by far my favourite book series, The Morganville Vampires making a close second.Nothing wrong with posts being novels, makes them that much more interesting!
I've been meaning to re-read the HP books for a while now but I've leant out the first one and need to get it back >:D
I was a late-comer to the HP series. I'm a little stubborn about joining in on trends, so when HP got really popular I backed away. Then I saw Sorcerer's Stone in the movies my freshman year of college- I was an instant Potterfile. I reread the series and get up to the last two books and stop. It's silly, but my heart still aches from Deathly Hallows. I did the whole midnight release thing for the last 3 books and I cried the whole weekend reading Deathly Hallows. I'm reluctant to lend out my HP books. I think I have one enjoying the sun and waves in Tortolla! Lucky book!
I remember seeing the film when it first came out(I was 11) but for one reason or another wasn't interested, though over the years I became a really big fan of the series, though never actually read the books until about the fifth film, and I truly wish I'd read them before watching the films! The detail and history in which J K goes is so impressive, it's impossible not to love the story, though it is a little disheartening that the films left out mass amounts of information. The copy has been lent out to my mother so I know it's in good hands, she's a bigger reader than I am lol.
