I agree Don should not change who he completely is but he didn't. And Rosie didn't want him too. He just is trying to be more spontaneous.
I agree that the end was a little rushed but I love the last page. I think it's perfect.
Oh and I wanted to point out how he finally pointed out the similarities his personality has with aspbergers... Finally! I feel like his knowledge of this helped him learn to be more aware of other peoples feelings.
I loved how they moved to New York where he realized his was in love with her. And where "weird" is accepted

Don had a inner courage that most don't, or choose to ignore.
Changing for someone that you love is a two sided sword..
A change such and hygiene and appearance is alright if you are way in left field due to lack of social awareness ex: Don's bum clothes
A change in behavior: smoking due to health reasons, trying new things to experience them...
A change of personality... well that depends: a person should love you as you , when your guard is down, when you are at your most vulnerable. Don is a special case, Rosie loves both the good and the different.
In reality we all are a little of Don- be it the OCD or the over analyzing things.
(my new cleaning attire has been picked ) - thanks Don =P
