Meet & Greet Challenge Round 2: Discussion Thread
Okay--all my picks are in and it's killing me because I actually could be ready to start and there are GREAT picks on my list but I have to wait…..(of course I could go back and try pass the minimum I only just met on M&G 1)
I also got all of my picks now. Thanks Group 2 member for pushing me to read some books I delayed for months. Most voted for were:
&
.
I just dropped a note to Chris from Group 2 since it seems like I'm the only with problems with the picks from her from the wrong shelf.I have received Mandy's picks last night so I'm almost done!
I've got all mine except Mandy's! :)My most picked book was The Gamble. It got picked at least 6 times. :) I'm afraid once I read that one I'll have to read the whole series. I just finished the Dream Man series.
I've placed 12 of my books on hold and have requested two of them through Inter Library Loan. I hope I can get the ILL books! They were the most suggested.
Okay. It looks like there are 3 people still missing picks (me included) and the other groups are all good to go. Just 5 more days until you can start your engines, folks!
Carrie - my fave book out of that series is Breathe... keep truckin'. But the ones before are still pretty darn good.
If there is any interest in trying to add a book or two to fit in for say a monthly challenge, Elizabeth and I are doing buddy reads for The Strange Case of Finley Jayne and The Girl in the Steel Corset. We're reading The Strange Case of Finley Jayne on February 1st and The Girl in the Steel Corset on February 5th. The Strange Case of Finley Jayne is a novella, so thus the shortened timetable on it. We'd love to have you join us for these reads!
Ty--I borrowed Mystery Man from my library then read it and then promptly went on Amazon and bought the whole series. I'm sure it will be the same for this series. :)
I started the Rock Chick series last January and promptly went out and bought the Fantasyland and Ghosts/Reincarnation series. I don't have a huge budget for buying books, so was disappointed that I couldn't get any more than that. I like to get whole series at a time so I don't get frustrated waiting to read them. This past Christmas, I got a gift certificate and promptly went out and bought my next five series; Dream Man, Colorado Mountain, Burg, Unfinished Hero and Chaos series. I just finished reading Mystery Man and am regretting putting the next one on this list because now I can't start it until Feb!
Only a few more days Turtlecollector! Mystery Man was GOOD! Hawk is very yummy. Lawson is still my favorite.
I've finally finished sending all my picks (sorry, Group 2!) and am missing picks from Chris. Can't wait until Feb. 1st!
Okie dokie!Picks should have all been sent to group members! I received notice last night from the last missing picker. If you are still missing picks and you forgot to post here, ah well, c'est la vie. Thank you everyone for being patient (and continuing to be so). You only have to wait 2ish more days to start your reading engines. :D

Happy Reading everyone!
~Melissa~ wrote: "I'm dying to start Truth ☺"I drove a different way home on Monday after I felt like Tony Rawlings was tailing me. I called Nika, in case I disappeared so she can notify the authorities. She knows how to spell his name, plus she can let them know he has a history of such behavior.
I hope Anthony Rawlings knows I ain't the one!

If you go missing from Goodreads we will all put out an APB on you, Ezi. :)

Ezi, if I decide to read this book it would be because of you and all your hilarious comments about the hero:))

I am so ashamed to say that while I detest this book and that monster, I think I am becoming obsessed with him.
It's like I am looking to redeem Claire. So if I can kick his ass, I will feel better. I want him to know I am on to him and his machinations, and he will no longer get away it. The buck stops here, you creep.
**And no Melissa, I don't believe this is fiction. He's out there and he has to be dealt with. I am on the case.
~Melissa~ wrote: "I'm sure several of us would be your back up if needed. I'd like to get some kicks in as well!!"did you read all of your books? I have one left, but I gotta read the last Cat & Bones.
Ty wrote: "ooh. who is this Rawlings dude? *popcorn*"The man in this series. I wasn't impressed with him.
I'll be reading the third book in the series this go around....the first two books were an emotional roller coaster.
Becky wrote: "I have all my picks now! Is it Feb 1st yet?"It'll be the 1st February for me at midnight tonight. I'm excited because I can start ahead of you all(*slightly gloating). lol
Zara, our only consolation is that we have longer to finish than you! (Not really, but it seems that way!)

I didn't do the first round of this. Was too afraid I wouldn't keep up with my other challenges and the holidays :) This will be my first go round. Waiting *impatiently* for tonight....

You mean I can start at midnight South African time???!?
Nadine wrote: "I'll be reading the third book in the series this go around....the first two books were an emotional roller coaster."Emotional roller coaster? The only thing I felt was mad and bewilderment and anger.
The operative phrase throughout this book was "WTH or WTF?"
In fact, I will send a pm to the author to change the book title to "What the..."
The operative phrase throughout this book was "WTH or WTF?" Totally - along with jaw dropping and hitting the floor several times...
Ok, so now I'm totally curious about this Rawlings guy too. Do you think it was the author's intention to make you scream WTH & WTF or was that just a result of bad writing? Scum bag 'heroes' (for lack of a better word) don't work if the writing sucks.
It is a total psychotic thriller type of book. (although some people have tagged it as a romance??!?!) Well written IMHO but I think Ezi wanted to throw her's across the room throughout the whole experience. You really want to kick the MC male in the ass throughout the whole book
Well that explains a whole lot, thanks. I've been stalking that book for over a year now. I'm getting closer, but I just finished Captive in the Dark and my psyche can only take so much. I'll have to OD on HEAs before I get to Mr. Rawlings hot mess.

Ditto! If you like RS, Kitten, both series are great!
