What did you think about Viola and 1017 narrating?

I thought that Viola narrating was great. We got to see the story from the view of the answer as well as the ask. As for 1017, at first I was tempted the skip over the bits he narrated but by the end (of monsters of men) I was happy that he narrated parts of it. Seeing the story from his view was awesome.
I hated his bits, I just thought they were boring and hard to understand. He was a jerk.
I don't think he was a jerk but I agree about the chapters he narrated being hard to understand. SPOILER? SPOILER? If you think about what he had to go through; the first war (although I'm not sure if he saw any of that) being a slave, those appalling living conditions, seeing his wife/girlfriend/other half die, all his other relatives slaughted and then forced to run from there killers. He had a hard time. Towards the end he went cool (view spoiler), then right at the end in the battle (view spoiler) he kinda turned into a jerk. I will give you that
*I am on iPod and can't use spoiler tags, sorry*
But SPOILERS AHED.
I'm pretty sure 1017's 'One In Particular' was male. I'm sure he's actually gay. I found this out from some other discussion a while ago, and it surprised me too! Ben and Cillian also gay, but really we shoulda seen that one.
But I don't really care what 1017 went though. The point is he shot Todd and almost fricken killed him. That ain't something I will forgive and forget.

What you just said ALL made so much sense. Even the bit about when he SPOILER SPOILER almost killed Todd BUT you have to remember he thought it was the Mayor...
I don't care if he thought it was the devil.
Thank you!
I don't get how people can like the Mayor either. He's even worse!! Can you believe people actually LIKE the Mayor????

I have no 'love' for that sick bastard(excuse my language) he's mean, he's cunning, manipulating, he's war-obsessed, which kinda makes him crazy, he tortures and torments people, and, oh, yeah, HE SHOOTS HIS OWN SON AND KILLS HIM.
Do I dare go on?
Do I dare go on?
I know that, I'm just saying I don't get how people can 'like' this particular baddie. They may as well love Aaron!
But seriously, the Mayor was one of the best villains ever! He was FANTASTIC, he wasn't just this 'higher power' who you hate because he ruins everything for other people, you literally hate him as a person - the more you get to know him, the more he sickens you. Man, such amazing character development.

So when they both started narrating the story, I got really pissed. I just wanted to read about Todd. What did you guys think of it?
