She dropped her keys in her bag as the doors to her buggy locked. A delighted smile lit her lips as she pushed open the door of the frozen yogurt and ice cream bar, the smells of the fruity flavors attacking her senses. She would have squealed like a little girl if there weren't others around in the store. "Oh, I have to get strawberry-banana!" Natalie grinned at her best friend, shuffling forward quickly to the shorter line in front of the counters. She excitedly grabbed a small tub for her frozen yogurt. She was a small girl but she had the eating capacity of someone much larger. She had sworn one day that she had three stomachs.

Lyla grinned, following close behind Natalie. She hadn't come here in a long while, she never got the chance. "I'm in the mood for peach," she mused, glad the line was short. Her appetite had grown back over the past few days and she was finally having cravings again. She was no where near as hungry as her friend, though. It didn't take long to figure out how she could consume so much. It was what allowed Natalie to have so much energy.((I should be on for most of the weekend, finally. This week was kind of hectic :/ ))
((You're good. I've got a lot of essays to do this weekend. :( ))Her eyes scanned the small stations full of a variety of flavors. The roamed over the random new flavors added until they landed on the pink and yellow flavors. She stalked over to the bins and placed her plastic tub underneath it. Pulling the lever, the sweetness rained down into the tub, giddiness filling her with each second. She was one who especially loved frozen yogurt. It was heaven for her and a great escape from others."Oh, there's the peach!" Natalie waved at the metal bin a few feet away from hers.
((Sorry to hear that :( ))Lyla smirked as she went to fill a small cup up with vanilla yogurt chock full of peaches. The smell alone was enough to make her mouth water. She hadn't realized how hungry she was. It shouldn't have been a surprise to her, considering how little she had eaten in the past few weeks, but she was having hard time keeping herself from scarfing it down on the spot. Quickly, she went to pay for her yogurt before waiting for Natalie to get something that would satisfy her hunger.
((Alright I made a new guy if you want can be with Lyla. *crosses fingers*))She could barely contain herself from chowing down the deliciousness the moment she had filled her tub. Heading towards the fruits, she added a few strawberries and blueberries on top of the whip cream. She knew she had a bizarre taste but it was just so good! Her mouth watered as she headed towards the counter. She slipped her wallet out of her bag, shuffling through it for cash. "Here you go!" She announced cheerily, handing the dollar bills to the cashier up front.
((Cool, what's his name? I'll check him out))Lyla shook her head to herself as she shoveled a spoonful of yogurt into her mouth. It froze her tongue and made her teeth ache it was so cold. "You are way too excited about this," she told Natalie, nonjudgmental. Lyla got just as excited when she was given some knew sheet music to play. Lyla had her music, Natalie had her food.
((Nicholas Edwards. His faceclaim is Freddie Highmore.))She pouted her lips as she turned away from the counter, shouldering her bag. She snatched a spoon and dug into her frozen yogurt. A rush spread in her body and the temperature of the yogurt, numbed her brain. "Oh, brain freeze!" Natalie shook her hand in front of her mouth, her eyes squinting tightly as the coldness got to her. Her hand drifted to her temple, clutching it as the brain freeze slowly faded away. "It's so painful, but so good." She shook her head before swallowing another spoonful of frozen yogurt.
((Ugh, I feel so horrible for making you wait this long. It's getting ridiculously difficult for me to come on here sometimes, so I hope you can be patient with me))Lyla laughed for what felt like the first time in forever. "Don't eat is so fast," she advised, watching Natalie shovel the frozen delight into her mouth. She went to sit down, beckoning her over. There were tables outside, but in or out of the shade, there was no way they would be able to escape the heat wave. They would have been forced to devour their food or else it would melt to quickly for them to eat. "So what are we going to do about homecoming?"
She rolled her eyes playfully, but listened to her Lyla's advice. Her infatuation with food was similar to a man's but it didn't faze her one bit. She could be food obsessed if she wanted to! "I don't think I'm going to get a date if a guy sees me like this..." Natalie trailed off, her spoon falling into her tub of frozen yogurt. Swallowing slowly, she followed her to a small table, settling down in a seat. She stared dejectedly at her tub of frozen yogurt, thoughts of homecoming overriding her brain.((I'm a patient person! It's alright though, I've got other roleplays that busy me. Did you check out Nicholas?))
Lyla grinned. "Well, we can just find someone who has an even bigger appetite than you," she said, only half serious. She knew hos superficial guys could be and if they didn't accept Natalie, they weren't good enough for her. After swallowing a spoonful of yogurt, Lyla leaned back in her seat thoughtfully. If she had the chance to go, they wouldn't have to be dealing with this right now. If she could, she would go to the stupid school event even if it was just so her friend wouldn't be stuck in this situation.((Right, I'll check him out in a little while))
Natalie rolled her eyes in disbelief. "Someone with a bigger appetite? Than me?" The look on her face was incredulous. She shook her head, spoon in mouth. The only qualities she was really looking for a guy was charm, humor, looks, and an appetite. "Looks like I won't be going to homecoming either, than. No one has a bigger appetite than I do." Though most girls abhorred eating too mich, she took pride in her ability to chow. With another spoonful of frozen yogurt, another dejected sigh was released.
Lyla gave her a look. "Natalie, we go to a high school with countless growing teenage boys who would eat drywall if they were in a room without food. There has to be someone with a bigger appetite than you and if he's taken... we'll just have to find someone enjoys a girl who is a bottomless pit," she said kindheartedly. How hard could it really be?
She grumbled in agreement even though she highly doubted it. It was a strange feeling for her, though. One of her middle school friends used to be anorexic after she moved away and Natalie would and still is eating everything. "Nevermind that. I haven't seen you all week! Catch me up on you." She patted her hand on the table as her focus transferred from her frozen yogurt to her best friend.
Lyla swallowed, keeping her smile pasted on her face. "Nothing much. My mom has some new meds and stuff, but that's about it, I don't have anything to report," she informed Natalie. She refused to drag her into this. Lyla had seen what Alejandro could do to people if they crossed him. She didn't know where the man was, but she knew he would be watching. Lyla would not slip up if it meant endangering her mother and her best friend.
She nonchalantly acted as Lyla explained herself. She shrugged her shoulders, attracted to the frozen yogurt again. She was as skinny as a stick but her father had nicknamed her "Fat-Nat" because of her eager eating abilities. "Oh, that's good. She's getting better, that's all that matters." Natalie nodded her head helpfully, oblivious to the conflict her best friend was facing. Although, not knowing would only piss her off more when the time came for her to find out. Because all secrets and lies always find a way to the truth.
Lyla breathed a sigh of relief when Natalie didn't press for details. "You're right," she said with a small smile. After she had gotten back, her mother's health had begun to improve again, though her disappearance had caused such a sharp decline. Lyla knew Charlotte was no where near being cured. The only thing that would fix her was a heart transplant, but they would never be able to afford that, nor would they be able to wait long enough.
She nodded her head happily, lost in her own world of rainbows and unicorns. She was a very carefree person, seeing good in everyone. Never one to hold grudges, she agreed with whatever came her way. The fruits she had piled on top of her mountain of strawberry-banana frozen yogurt were all in her stomach, her spoon digging at the cold melting yogurt. "Aren't I always?" Natalie flashed Lyla a smirk, the tarnishing expression looking misplaced on her soft features.
((Ugh, it's like my sorry's are becoming completely inadequate. I've been studying for the SAT for the past week and that's why I'm so sporadic. Then my notifications go haywire... I really hope this doesn't bother you ))Lyla laughed, finishing off the last of her yogurt. "Of course, how could I forget," she replied simply, dropping her spoon into the empty cup. As an after thought, she picked it back up and stole a small spoonful from Natalie's pile of frozen dairy and fruit, sticking it in her mouth before her friend could protest. She had missed hanging out like this, not having to worry about what she said, not having to watch her back to make sure she wasn't being followed. She almost felt like she didn't have to be paranoid.
She was ready to retort some smart comment, her spoon raised with her wild gestures. With her mouth open midway, she started her rant to only look up at her friend in shock. "Hey!" She protested, her hands wrapping around her tub protectively. She scowled at Lyla, subconsciously smoothing out the top of the the frozen yogurt. Natalie artistically decorated the top of her dairy with the remaining fruits before ruining its appearance with the shoveling of her spoon.((It doesn't. I've been busy with other roleplays and bunch of homework that I've been putting off. -_-))
Will walked inside, smiling. He had like the best day at work. The best. Running his fingers through his light brown hair he stood in line at the store, wanting some ice cream to top off the day. Be the cherry on his pie. He was wearing his football sweatshirt, and some blue jeans. He didn't need to look good for the special education kids. They didn't care...and he loved it. They were so sweet. That day he had been told by one of them that he looked just like Flynn Rider. It was the best because Flynn Rider is Wild favorite Prince. He was just..on top of the world.
She pouted as the yogurt had fallen on the table. She rolled her eyes, rising from the table to find a napkin canister as their table didn't have one. She may have appeared to others as an overly excited person but she didn't mind. This was just one of her favorite places to be. You could get frozen yogurt or ice cream. It was like her dream home back when she was younger. She passed the line to the counter, walking around the parlor aimlessly, searching for napkins. "Oh, here they are!" She announced to herself, bending across an empty table for the napkins that she needed.
Will's smile grew as he saw a very perky girl get in front of him to grab some napkins. He had just bought and paid for his chocolate yogurt, and decided he would help her out. "Need some help with that?" He asked softly, his voice light and airy. He may not be as enthusiastic as her, but he was outgoing. Will was more of the strong but silent type...but when he was in a goof mood....anything pleased him. Yogurt, sunshine. You name it. His blue eyes looked her up and down slightly, the gesture nearly unnoticeable. He made it a little noticeable, so she would at least know he found her...attractive.
Her hand reached out for the canister, stretching to grab at it. The table was larger than she had previously assumed and found that she couldn't reach it. Her attempt was interrupted by a light voice behind her. She turned her head, glancing back at the figure that had spoken to her. A small sound escaped her lips as she caught sight of his handsome appearance. She stood straight from her awkward position, trying to pretend that she wasn't caught off guard by his appearance. "Oh help? Uh...yeah, sure." She squeaked, noticing the look he gave her. This was exactly what she had been talking about with Lyla earlier today. A guy who was interested!
((O.O I feel like the worst person ever. I'm so sorry, Diana, my notifications don't work well for a lot of threads and I got all caught up in things >.< I'll but out, so sorry!))
Will smirked as he noticed her surprised face and positure. Her stumbling over the words and her nervousness was eveident, but Will pretended he didn't notice. She reminded him so much of his older sister Sarah. It was the best. "Alrighty then." He said with a smile, reaching across the table and grabbing the canister with ease. "Where are you sitting? I'll bring it over." He said happily, glad to help her. His sisters raised him well, showing him exactly how to flirt and be a gentleman. Which was weird...but that was how it was. "I'm Will. Will Parker." He introduced himself. He wouldn't be surprised if she heard his name. He was quarterback for UCLA for goodness sakes. But it all works.
She raised her small shoulders, returning to her carefree self, trying to pretend that he hadn't surprised her at all. She wished she could be more suave and coll around guys. But in all of her eighteen years, she still hadn't excelled at flirting with guys. Or rather even speaking to guys in the first place. At his question, her eyebrows raised. She nodded her head, looking past his shoulder to where she had been seated. She noticed the look Lyla gave her before slipping out of their booth. "By the window." She pointed out the direction, a pale blush on her cheeks. She recognized his name immediately, but this time hid her surprise at meeting the quarterback. "Natalie Rune." She introduced herself.
Tyler smiled glad she got over her surprise. She was a cutie...that was for sure. He adjusted his jersey, tucking the canister under his arm as he ate some of his yogurt. This day, just got a whole lot better. "The window? Good choice." He said approvingly, having always loved sitting outside and admiring views and such. People always thought that he was staring, but he was watching. People and their mannerisms intrigued them, so he watched, and learned. He learned how to get along with all kinds of people. just by watching. He smiled as he followed her to seat, her name fitting her perfectly. "Natalie. Pretty name. Just like the person who belongs to it." He flirted, winking at her. He might as well try..right?
Now that she knew his name, she figured that he was in college. She herself wouldn't be moving out of California like she pleased, but would be attending UCLA next year. If he was one example of a student at the college her, she wouldn't mind so much going to it. "Oh, I always sit by the window." She commented, leading her to her now empty booth. She smiled up at him as she took her seat at the booth. Would it be weird if she asked him to sit with her? He was flirting with her, and he liked window seats too. So, why not? It wouldn't hurt. "Thanks." She blushed, down at her bowl of yogurt. "Uh...would you like sit with me, Will?" She asked, a spur of confidence bursting in her.
Will nodded, wondering how old she was. He wanted to make sure that her parents wouldn't flip. He needed to make sure she wasn't like Lily, the 16 year old who...tried to get him to go for her. Nasty...right? He chuckled, nodding. "Definitely the best spot to sit ever." He replied with a light smile, placing the canister down and wiping up the mess quickly. He was just about to ast if he could sit there, when she asked it for him. "I would love to. Thanks cutie." He said with a small wink, sitting down in the bench and placing his yogurt in front of her. "So Natalia, how old are you?" He asked curiously, his eyed sweeping over her face. Yup. She was definitely attractive...but her age could definatley make or break the deal.
She crossed her legs under the table, her lips pressing together as she grabbed her yogurt cup and scooted it closer to her side of the table. She wasn't good at this type of thing. Guys never really took an interest in her and now that one had, she was a complete nervous wreck on the inside. He continued making small remarks that made her blush, flirting with her. She didn't mind it all even when he had said her name wrong. She didn't bother correcting him, liking the sound of the extra vowel at the end instead of what everyone else called her. "Eighteen. I'm graduating this year and will be most likely joining UCLA." She retorted, spinning her spoon in her cup.
((Sorry! My brain blanked! I memt Natalie...haha.))
Will smiled at her, his blue eyes twinkling. This was fun, really fun. He was just praying she was in his 'appropriate to date' group. Most women were...but none that he felt...really attracted too. Natalie, he did. He bit his lip as he realized he said her name wrong. "Oh gosh. Sorry Natalie! I have no clue where I got Natalia. I am so bad with names." He said appolgetically, mentally face palming. Leave it to Will Parker to get her name wrong after she just barley introduced herself. If that didn't ruin his chances...he didn't know what would. He visably related as she told him her age. She was eighteen, and a senior! Now he wouldn't be a total perv! That made him feel...loads better. "Really? I'm nineteen and a freshman at UCLA. Its a really cool school, I promise. The parties are pretty fun..." He said with a small wink. Where was this coming from? Will was never this flirty. Ever. So this was...weird.

((Nah it's cool! I thought it would be funny for her.))She blushed under his gaze, realizing just how clear the shade of blue his eyes were. She wasn't sure where this whole conversation would take them, but found herself incredibly excited for whatever direction this would go. She needed to slow down though. She had just met him. It didn't mean that this would turn into a whole relationship. He was just another guy, right? Or was he not? She didn't know what to think but found herself hoping that her thoughts weren't all wrong. "Oh parties...yes! I love going to parties." She smiled. It wasn't a complete lie. She didn't hate parties or something. She had just never really attended any. It wasn't her fault though. She would have loved to go to more in her highschool years.
Will smiled at her blush, his strong but silent type fadding as he continued to speak with her. She was beautiful, but Will, being Will wasn't about to jump into things. He wanted to get to know her better. Wanted to know her interests...her weaknesses...her strengths. He wanted to be...sure. Be sure he liked her a lot before he just jumped into a relationship. "Parties are definitely fun." He agreed with a nod, eating a bite of his heavenly ice cream. "So what do you plan to do when you got to collage?" He asked her curiously. This would tell him a lot about her. Because based off her interests, he could put together her personality even better.
She crossed her legs again under the table, her raised foot swinging slightly as she spun her spoon around in her yogurt. It had melted a bit in the lst few minutes. Of course it would with the heightened heat they were having lately. She shrugged her shoulders, dipping her spoon into he yogurt again. "I really love English, so I was thinking of getting a major in the subject and then possibly turning to journalism later. But my parents want me to be a doctor." Natalie pressed her lips together, her mind wandering off to what her possible future could look like.
Will listened thoughtfully, genuinely interested in what she had to say. He ran his fingers through his brown hair, messing it up slightly. It was a habit...one he was not ready to give up. His eyebrows went up in surprise at her answer. Journalism? Wow...he wasn't expecting that...but it was cool. He personally was studying for his masters in business. It was what his parents wanted for him. He did like education and working with kids, but the pay was horrid. He had to provide for his future family somehow. "I say go for it! Do what you want to do. You are 18, your parents can't make you do anything. They can just...hope for the best. And I think journalism is the best choice." He told her with a smile. Journalism was so cool...and he thought she would be good in it. For sure. She was definatley smart...which was a trait that Will liked. A lot.
Her eyes watched him quizzically, wondering if he was actually being genuine or not. He didn't know her really, but he had already supported her decision. Her parents still disliked the idea and her friends brushed it off. They were more interested in sports or design. Some didn' t even care about what there futures would look, and only focused their present life on chasing after boys. "Well thanks...I suppose. No one really thinks its an ideal career choice, but I'm ready to prove them all wrong." Natalie retorted, opening up to him.
Will smiled at her puzzled look, taking another bite of his heavenly yogurt. So pretty much this girl was awesome. She wanted to chase her dreams. She didn't care what anyone thought. It was her life, And she was living it the way she wanted. Will liked to think he was like her. Uncaring what others thought; but when you are on the football team and everyone is watching you, its hard not to care. Its hard to ignore them. He hoped someday he could. Someday.
"Yeah. Prove them wrong. Do what you want and if anyone tells you you cant, tell them otherwise." He said sincerely as another bite of yogurt was places into his mouth.
"Yeah. Prove them wrong. Do what you want and if anyone tells you you cant, tell them otherwise." He said sincerely as another bite of yogurt was places into his mouth.
She smiled down at her frozen yogurt, feeling timid under his intense gaze. For someone so pleasant and charming, the direction of his eyes always made her feel quite intimidated. Perhaps she would get used to be looking like that. Watched underneath the lens of a microscope. Or zeroed in on with binoculars. Nevertheless, she knew he was calculating here every move. "Do what I want...." Natalie repeated with a murmur. "If only it was that easy." She muttered afterwards, shaking her head as she scooped out her frozen yogurt.
Will felt himself being drawn to her. In a way that he had never been before. It was like his past life never existed...the 16 year old hadn't tried to hit on him, he wasn't failing Chemistry. It was like all his troubles had faded around him, and all that mattered was the beautiful girl in front of him. "Me too." He agreed softly, his voice wistful and hopeful. To bad it wasn't that easy. "Ok. Natalie...what is your favorite Disney princess." He asked her curiously. Not even knowing why it mattered to him. He just wanted to feel like he knee her. And that...she knew him.
Her gaze was forwarded down to her bowl of frozen yogurt, blinking as she mulled over his statement. "I can do whatever the hell I want." She muttered to herself, attempting to convince herself of it. It would be so easy if her decision was really hers and didn' t have to be so influenced by her parents. She.was being coaxed into what they wanted in her and she wanted something different. "Disney princess?" Natalie questioned, befuddled by the random question. "I guess...I like Ariel the best." Nevertheless, she replied.
Will laughed, nodding. She was feisty. He liked that. She reminded him so much of his sister Sarah. It was awesome. Because he knew exactly how to treat a feisty, enthusiastic, smart, whistful girl. He knee what she would probably like, enjoy..what she would probably strongly dislike...it was all right there in his Brain. And it was awesome. "Hey I never said you couldn't. In fact, I told you to go follow your dreams. Live your life the way you want...because its short. Believe it or not...and you have to make the best of whatever is coming or going." He told her gently, something he always told the kids he worked with. Make the best of the time you got...because what matters isn't what they always think it is. "Don't judge. My sisters say its a great way to get to know a person." He told her with a laugh. His sisters were also obsessed with Disney. "Ariel? I've always like her. Except...I thinm right now my favorite is....Mulan. She's cool."
Her spoon spun lazily in her bowl as she contemplated over his comments. It was true, though. She could do whatever the hell she wanted. Nothing anyone could say or do would divert her from her path to freedom of choice and to her new beginning. No overprotective parents around. No admonishing teachers. She would have her own ways to be creative. "Ariel and...Jasmine. They both are very curious and have a great sense of adventure." Natalie spoke out loud, confessing her thoughts on the topic of Disney princesses.
Will ate another bite of his yogurt, finishing it off quickly. He was still hungry. The benefit of playing football was that he could eat like...6,000 calories a day and not gain anything. Like...sometimes he loses weight. Its awesome. It helps thought that Will likes to run as well...so he runs in the morning, goes to school and than does football practice. He is in great shape...plus....he is really buff ..and strong, so he defianatly can get ladies if he wants too. And right now with this amazing girl in front of him...he wanted too. Will nodded, smiling. "Definatley. I like Merida because she isn't afraid to stand up for what she wants. And than I like Pochahontas because she loves being outdoors...and that is like my favorite place ever." He told her with a smile. He loved his Disney. Which was weird because he was a guy...but hey. Take what you can get right?
She leisurely took another bite from her frozen yogurt, savoring the taste. It was finishing quicker than she had thought it would. It saddened her that she was almost finished with her favorite desert. People were usually surprised when they saw the amount of food she could eat. She ate a lot for a girl, but still remained the same figure. She never gained nor really lost any weight. She was pretty skinny, having a shape some people envied, even when she ate like she had three stomachs. It was embarrassing, the amount of food she could consume, but she didn't really care. Food was her life. "I love the outdoors! Hiking, no I love hiking around. It's so beautiful out here and no one every really realizes all that we have with us."
Will leaned back in his seat, stretching out his legs in a relaxed way. He was relaxed, just chilling as he watched her. She seemed fit...which was good. Because Will lived and breathed exserize. It was his life. He wanted someone to go to the gym with him...you know? A girl what got the same thrill he did by running or weight lifting. Because it is always more fun to exserize with a partner. "Really? Its one of my favorite things to do! Hiking, camping, fishing...everything." He said happily. Man. He actually found a girl who enjoyed being outside...it was awesome!
She leaned forwardin her seat, her eyebrows raised in amazement. It was difficult to find others these days that had the same interests as her. None of her friends were very big fans of nature, something she failed to see when she first befriended them. She loved the outdoors though. It was a hobby of hers when she was younger to climb up in taller trees and read a book. Her parents always got so frustrated with her when she would get down, afraid that she would fall and hurt herself. It never happened. "I love you! Damn, you don't meet any nature loving people around anymore." Natalie shook her head, a wide grin on her lips.
Will was a little surprises at her surprise. All of his buddies and him were obsessed with the outdoors. Always hiking and boating...they went tubing all the time after practice. It was just their thing. Girls were different apparently. Dirt was gross to them...but to boys...dirt so totally rocked. Almost all of his memories as a kid were outside. That was just how he spent his time. It gave him great tans...he remembered over hearing girls in school calling him the hottest. Definatly boosted his ego. Will laughed, grinning. "Love you too." He said with a laugh, shaking his head. Definatly like Sarah. "For sure! Most people like to sit inside all day. Unless they are trying to tan.
She intertwined her fingers together, excited that she shared a hobby with him that she was incredibly passionate about. She was a complete fan of nature, someone who was the first to volunteer for any outdoorsy events. She loved the woods, the water, anything outdoor really. Her interests led her to do things she never really thought she would do when she was younger. Hiking, tubing, rafting, rock climbing. Who knows? Maybe one day, she would go walk the Grand Canyon or sail by the Niagra Falls."What's wrong with pale skin?" She raised her eyebrows with a laugh, turning her arms around ash pretended to inspect the color. Her feet crossed underneath the table, hitting his ankles as she did.
Her excitement reflected on her face, making her look more beautiful than she had before. She was growing more and more attractive to Will. And it was a little weird to be honest. Well...for him. He had never met anyone that he had been this drawn to. So...it was weird to think about almost. But it also wasn't. Wills brain was so messed up right then..he didn't know what he was thinking at this point. Just that this pretty girl had a lot in common with him. Will laughed, shrugging. "I don't know...I'm not a girl who is obsessed with tanning." He said with a chuckle, moving his ankles back as she kicked them. Well...guess that spot was taken.
She bit her lips, her eyes widening slightly as she had spoken before. It was strange how she had been speaking to Lyra not a moment before about how she never hung out with any males, and now she was. She had discussed her thoughts about the clock with her best friend, but she didn't try to put much faith in it. Their discussion wasn't actually about how you found your true love, but instead of the mechanism and how exactly your true love was chosen. Numbers had been branded across their wrists, telling them their destinies and some people didn't want to believe in it. "You're a tan guy, aren't you?" Natalie rolled her eyes with a chuckle.
