Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) Marcus rolled his eyes. "There are very little things that scare me these days." Except for his dad. Nothing was as scary as his dad when he came home from a night of drinking. Marcus blushed. What this guy...hitting on him? No one around here would be stupid enough to come out. Would they? Marcus didn't know what to say so he waved a waiter over and ordered his regular ice cream.

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments "That's good, fear only holds You back from what you really want." It was a true statement and he hated losing what he wanted. He learned to just do what you want and not care what others think. "And I'm sorry, is saying you're cute a bad thing?" He smirked.

message 53: by Tia (new)

Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) Marcus made an affirming sound but didn't say anything. His vanilla ice cream arrived and he almost choked at the guys question. Marcus cleared his throat. "N-no not necessarily." He rasped, the ice cream going down the wrong way. "Just unexpected I guess."

message 54: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments Drayven couldnt help but laugh at the poor kid. "Alright. I'll stop flirting do I don't kill you." He smiled over at him. "And yeah it does I mean, if you're scared of needless and you want a piercing you're not going to get one. Or if you like someone and you say nothing you'll never end up with them."

message 55: by Tia (new)

Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) Marcus cut his eyes over to him at his last statement. "I agree." He murmured. He looked down at his ice cream and stirred his spoon around a few time. "I'm Marcus by the way." He said a small smile on his face. What are you doing?! Don't do this again He shut the voice out of his mind. Maybe it would be different.

message 56: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments Drayven leaned on the chair again, kicking his heavy boots onto the chair to the side. "I'm Drayven, Drayven Hayward. Or Gayward, if you're talking to the people at school." He smirked, "that is if you go to LAHS."

message 57: by Tia (new)

Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) Marcus furrowed his brow. He had heard of a lot of people, from listening to conversations when people didn't realize he was standing there. But he had never heard of Drayven. "I go there. I'm a freshman." He said. "Drayven is a unique name." He remarked.

message 58: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments Drayven smiled a bit, "Thanks. Only thing good my parents gave me." He chuckled. He watched the boy a bit, his eyes lingering. "I'm a Junior, yet I act like a Sophmore and most of Mr friends are sophomores."

message 59: by Tia (new)

Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) Marcus tapped his fingers on the counter. Normally he didn't have any trouble remembering someone from school. Especially if the jocks nicknamed someone he should know them. Marcus made a point to. "Why haven't I heard of you?" He blurted and then blushed.

message 60: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments Drayven shrugged, "Don't know. People are always a fan of the gay kid. Especially the one who causes the most trouble." He smirked, "You probably just haven't been around the favorite people of mine."

message 61: by Tia (new)

Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) Marcus propped his elbow on the counter and looked over at Drayven. "and who are these people. I've been pretty invisible so most people don't even know I'm standing there when they talk." He smirked. He could probably go into special forces if he wanted with how good he had become at sneaking around.

message 62: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments He laughed a bit, "Well, they're the jocks, the cheerleaders, and sometimes the artists." He laughed, "But with the artists, they expect it and I don't do anything to ruin their art, so they don't get to irritated." He said, "I'm friends with most of them." He didn't mind being hated by others, always having fun messing with them. Seemed like a very good way of getting known.

message 63: by Tia (new)

Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) Marcus nodded knowing what it was like. "The kids at my last school were horrible. So much worse than here." He admitted. They made his life hell and he finally convinced his dad it would be a good idea to move. Which was a miracle in and of itself.

message 64: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments Drayven nodded, "Oh yeah, in my other school I got pretty beat up." He said rolling up his sleeve to show his left shoulder blade which had a huge scar on it. "Of course, it could be worse...." He thought about Ash, his best friend, and only friend. He was covered in the stuff. "But yeah, here they don't get as physical, knowing that the bad boy from a few states over could mess their face up." He smirked.

message 65: by Tia (new)

Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) Marcus nodded. Yeah it could be worse. People could know his secret and try to take advantage of the fact that he looked weak. He hated fighting but his last school was the reason he did Tae Kwon Doe now. He laughed. "Yeah that is an advantage to looking as scary as you do."

message 66: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments He tapped on the counter, his black nails chipping slightly, making him cuss quietly. "Oh well, needed a new coat anyways. What do you think of blue goop going up the edge?" He asked looking over at him, "I think it'll look cool." He smirked. "And yeah, it does have it's advantages."

message 67: by Tia (new)

Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) Marcus glanced down at Drayven's nails. That's one thing he would never do, paint his nails. He didn't know how to respond so he nodded. "Yeah I guess it would be cool." He shrugged his shoulders and returned to his ice cream.

message 68: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments Drayven moved his finger around the table, looking over, wondering if he was making him uncomfortable. He wasn't the flamboyant one, he was the guy, even though there were times he could be on the chick side. "Sweet. I'll do it then." He took the final spoonful, sighing softly. "Two things are probably enough for me." He stuck his tongue out, "Is it blue?" Indeed, his tongue was a deep deep blue.

message 69: by Tia (new)

Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) Marcus glanced over. "Yup. It's definitely blue." He was trying to fight the urge to grin. He couldn't let himself like Dreyven now that Marcus knew that he was gay. It would make everything more complicated. Especially with his dad.

message 70: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments Drayven nodded, "man, do you smile at all?" He asked tilting his head. "I swear to God, you're like a flipping doll or something." He got his face close to him, "I will make you make an expression if it's the last thing I do."

message 71: by Tia (new)

Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) Marcus frowned. He didn't have a reason to smile much these days. He jerked his face away when Dreyven moved into his personal space. Marcus's heart beat faster. This wasn't good. He couldn't think this way. It would end badly for everyone involved.

message 72: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments Drayven reached over and poked him in the side, "even if I make you look discomforted, I will make you emotiontize." He said. He laughed after that, "Emotiontize, gotta use that one on Ash next." He laughed, "Emotiontize you little black haired boy." He started talking to himself, leaning back.

message 73: by Tia (new)

Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) Marcus didn't flinch even though he wanted to squirm away from Dreyven's prodding finger. Marcus was extremely ticklish but he learned to control it so people didn't try to use that against him. "Ash?" He asked to change the subject away from him.

message 74: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments Drayven nodded, "Oh yes, my little boy." He smirked, "He's my best friend since.... well, the beginning of this year." He said, "I was also assigned to him when he got to LA, because he wasn't.... in the best shape to be around people." He shook his head, "So they send in a kid that looks like me, to talk to a small frail boy."

message 75: by Tia (new)

Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) Marcus raised an eyebrow. "They would send in someone who looked like you to talk to someone who wasn't in good shape?" He shook his head. That didn't make sense to him but he let it go. There's no use arguing with how agencies thought nowadays.

message 76: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments He nodded, sighing softly, "He was pretty scared of me." He said, "But now we're here, and we couldn't be closer I don't think." He laughed a bit, "I mean, he doesn't let anyone in, and he did me. Well, along with Kayla, his cousin." He explained with hand movements. "He's a cool dude."

message 77: by Tia (new)

Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) Marcus knew how that was. He never let anyone see what he was thinking or feeling. He had learned to hide his emotions or his father would react in some crazy way. "That's nice of you." He said stirring his now melted ice cream. He sighed, and looked at the clock. If he didn't get home before his father it wouldn't be pretty.

message 78: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments "I shouldn't tell you this.... but his father wasn't the nicest guy...." He shook his head, "He got home really late once and just.... oof.... Wish I was there. Would have ripped his head off." He looked over at him, his head on the counter, "Want some other ice cream? I'll buy. I got plenty."

message 79: by Tia (new)

Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) Marcus swallowed. That sounded like his father. If Marcus wasn't home before him then it wouldn't be pretty. Ever since his mom died it had been this way. "God some people really shouldn't have kids of they're going to be that way." He said clenching his hands into fists. He looked at his melted ice cream before shaking his head. "Nah. I shouldn't have it anyways. Conflicts with my workouts."

message 80: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments "Not his fault.... His mother was amazing." He said looking over at him. "Turns out.... his dad...." he gulped, "I don't wanna say it." His voice shook, knowing Ash would have died if anything hadn't gotten him out. "They shouldn't have kids, but he wasn't always a bad guy."

message 81: by Tia (new)

Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) Marcus sighed. "My dad is the same way." He admitted barely putting any sound behind his voice. No one at school knew what he came from everyday. It was only pure luck that his father was always passed out in the mornings or it would have been much worse.

message 82: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments Drayven frowned, nodding slowly. He reached over, grabbing a pen and a napkin, writing down his number on it. He handed it to him, "I know it's hard to get out of those places.... Believe me. I do. Not from personal experience but... yeah." He said. "If you need anything, don't hesitate to call." He was always there for people, that is, until they stabbed him in the back. "And there's always a way to get out, if you want to."

message 83: by Tia (new)

Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) Marcus stared down at the little numbers that could change his life. He swallowed and took the napkin, tucking it into his pocket. He cleared his throat twice before he was able to answer. "Thanks." He didn't know if he would ever call Dreyven but it was nice to know that it was an option.

message 84: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments Drayven looked at him seriously, "I'm not kidding. If you need anything call me." He tapped on the counter. "Do not hesitate. I'll be on my bike and over right away." He said. "That's a promise. This isn't something I joke around about. I won't let anyone die if I can help them." His voice was quiet with the word die, that word scaring him.

message 85: by Tia (new)

Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) Marcus whipped his head up to stare at Dreyven intently. Die? He didn't think his father would every truly hurt him that bad but there had been a few close calls with him being more drunk than normal and Marcus knew anything could happen. "Okay. I appreciate it Dreyven." He murmured. Maybe something good could come out of this encounter after all.

message 86: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments Drayven looked down at the counter, "I know... you don't think something like that could happen..." He started, "But it can, and at some point, it goes down to that if something goes really really bad." He laughed a bit, his head hitting the counter again, but softly. "Like two stabs in the chest, a beer bottle smashed on your back...." He shivered, "Gosh I need happier friends." He joked, trying to make it lighter. That was his way of dealing with things, trying to make a joke even though it shook him up a lot.

message 87: by Tia (new)

Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) Marcus's eyes widened. Had those things happened to Ash? God he couldn't imagine it. He shuddered at the thought of anything like that happening. He knew his dad was crazy and he knew that he hated him but he couldn't picture that happening. Marcus chuckled slightly. "Sorry to disappoint but my life has never been happy."

message 88: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments "Neither has theirs...." he closed his eyes, slumping in the chair, "Well, until now where they got actual friends who gave a shiz and got out of those types of homes. So... the beginning of this year." He swung his fist over his chest as in mock glee. He didn't mention himself though, he would never have it as bad as them. None of his stuff ever came physical unless it was with his brother. "And I got you to show emotion!" He cheered quietly, looking over to him, smiling brightly at him.

message 89: by Tia (new)

Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) Marcus couldn't help the smile that stole across his lips. "I guess you did." He said. There was something about Dreyven that made you want to talk and share you're problems. That could be a good thing but it might end up being a problem later down the line for Marcus. If things got out about him and got back to his father. It would be exactly as Dreyven described.

message 90: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments He smiled at him, "I like it." he commented. He blushed a bit, sighing softly. "Oh, and about you and your dad, consider it our little secret." He said, "I mean, I have now three, no four, to keep a secret." he smiled, "That is, unless you spill about Ash. Then I'll kill you." He winked, "But seriously, your lips are sealed and so are mine." He said but with a smile.

message 91: by Tia (new)

Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) Marcus's eyes widened at Dreyven's blush but he quickly his his reaction. He felt grateful that Dreyven was going to keep his secret. "Of course I wouldn't say anything about Ash. It's not like I have anyone to tell anyways." He mumbled. "And thanks by the way. i don't really have any friends to talk to."

message 92: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments "Well, there's a few of us with these problems, but most of us got out of it." He said. "And you can hang out when you want to." He smiled a bit, throwing his cup away and sighing. "Need a ride to your place if it's as bad as it sounds?" He asks.

message 93: by Tia (new)

Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) Marcus looked at the clock and bit his lip. His dad would be home soon and Marcus probably wouldn't make it there on time if he walked. He considered Dreyven's offer. It would save him the trouble he knew would come with his dad tonight. "You wouldn't mind?"

message 94: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments "Do you mind sitting on a motorcycle with the driver not wearing a helmet because you need to?" He asked tilting his head. "And yeah, I could take you there." He stood up and offered his hand. "Come on."

message 95: by Tia (new)

Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) Marcus bit his lip. A motorcycle would mean sitting close to Dreyven. He blushed at the thought and looked at his offered hand. Reaching out Marcus took it and followed him out the door.

message 96: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments ((Then he gets a boner..... XD))

Drayven smiled, not releasing his hand until he pulled away. He handed him the helmet when they got to the bike. He smirked a bit, "Where do you live?" He asked, "And just squeeze my side when I need to turn." He explained. "And don't let go of me." He said.

message 97: by Tia (new)

Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) ((XDD I think I need to have Heather make my house thread still...))

Marcus took the helmet gingerly and slipped it over his head. "Not that far." He said. He slid onto the bike behind Dreyven and hesitantly wrapped his arms around him. Marcus's face was beat red and he had to clear his throat before he could speak. "Okay I won't."

message 98: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments ((So hoping and alright do you want to wait before Roleplaying more?))

Drayven smiled a bit, not having guys arms around him for awhile. He almost missed the feeling. He closed his eyes for a second, nodding and kicking the start up. He smiled over at him, "Hold on!" He called as he backed up, then started down the parking lot.

message 99: by Tia (new)

Tia Jenkins (tia_jenkins) ((It was just made and we can switch threads if you want to))

Marcus clutched Dreyven tighter when the bike jolted forward. How could be like this? After his initial shock when the bike first moved forward he began to relax and realized why people would chose to ride a bike instead of drive a car. He was pressed against Dreyven so tightly that he could feel his muscles through his shirt. Marcus's cheeks warmed and he wished he could distance himself without falling off. If he started having feelings towards Dreyven then everything that happened before would happen again.

message 100: by Kate Kid (new)

Kate Kid (katekid) | 536 comments Drayven breathed out, hating that he missed a guy so much. He didn't want to have feelings for someone that might and probably is straight. He glanced over at him, smiling softly. He couldn't see him much through because of the black tint to the glass. He looked forward as he drove down the road.

((Sure. That will work.))
