Congratulations! You have received Lorenzo's Plato's Academy of Florence and the Confraternity of the Magi's Pass-It-Along Notebook! What does that mean? Well, a variety of things:
1. You were invited by someone who thinks that you are worthy of contributing to it
2. You found it on the street/some other place
Well, either way, you should probably contribute. Before doing so, you should read the rules. Also, you may want to know this history of our wonderful notebook. Well, here it is. You can skip it, but it may be considered a fun read.
The original members of the Platonic Academy met outside of Florence, at Villa Careggi - the villa of the Medici. It was started by Cosimo de' Medici, and continued by his grandson, Lorenzo de' Medici. At Villa Careggi, the Platonic Academy met and discussed many things and stuffs. Very interesting, yes?
Anyway, five hundred years later, a small group of middle school students would gather in the secluded biography section of the Roslyn Middle School Library at lunch. Two of them would always carry notebooks. Another was a published author who didn't carry a notebook. A third and fourth soon began to join, until there were at least five or six of them, all of whom bought notebooks and would write at lunch in the biography section. (They were not called Lorenzo's Plato's Academy of Florence and the Confraternity of the Magi yet. That came a little later). They began to do writing challenges, and would later take out paper, and start writing a story, then pass it to the next person, and so on and so forth. The first of those stories was called "And This Is How It Happened", and was so hilarious they decided to do it again. And again. Until the first notebook bearer said, "Why don't we get a notebook that we do this in?" And so I found a notebook and started it.
Regardless of the history of this notebook and all of its successors, we hope that you enjoy this notebook - wherever you found it, and whatever you contribute to it.
If you wish to read other stories from previous notebooks (or the original story, actually), you can visit http://www.emmaiadanza.com/tag/multip... .
Enjoy :D
