What was your first book in 2014?

Hi everyone! I thought I'd kick off the group with a question. By now, hopefully you have a few books under your belt (I finished book #5 last night). What was the first book you read in 2014? (Either the first book you STARTED or the first book you FINISHED. I'm not picky.)

Number five?! Wow, I'm already behind. The first book I read this year was THESE BROKEN STARS, which for me at least didn't quite live up to all the hype. It was entertaining, but didn't really make me feel anything. Gorgeous cover, though! Now I'm plugging away at Poets Translate Poets--we'll see if I get it done before deadline.

First read (started and finished) of the year was . A good way to kick off the year, even if Sandry isn't my favorite character. :P

(technically I have listed on GR as my first read of the year but I finished that a few days before 2014 and have just been too lazy to change it. xD)

Mine was some crappy ya fantasy: . I got it for free, so at least that was nice. Maybe I shouldn't count it... I got 60% through and then I decided to drop it and just read the last paragraph.

Ha! I have two still in progress: I Hunt Killers and Toads and Diamonds. I'm halfway through TOADS AND DIAMONDS, and I really like it so far.

(My first STARTED this year was Across the Nightingale Floor.)
