We finally see Paul and Lucy who are much different than what everyone describes which means that Gwyn's mom was right about them. What Paul said about Gideon got me thinking: could the count have brainwashed him somehow? The epilogue was interesting as well not that I understood much. 28%-ch1-6. The style feels a little dated, though the story is interesting enough so far. Love the idea of time travel, but I hope something will happen with it.

Reminds me of another time travel series where the characters Always landed somewhere dangerous - like a Roman arena, a Civil war battle, or a jungle full of dangerous natives and tigers. The way they were described at the beginning makes me think they are the main character's parents. There's no proof yet though. Finished (view spoiler)[ I loved this book. It was the first YA book I have read that was based around time travel. I love how the romance only really came towards the end. I am so eager to read the next book and find out what happens with Gwyneth and Gideon. Also to find out if Gwyneth finds out that Lucy and Paul are her parents. I am so intrigued by the count and believe that he is the villain of the story. The writing was really easy to follow and I loved how at the start of each chapter there was an insert from the guardians book, a famous quote, a family tree etc. I can't wait to continue with book 2! Finished! (view spoiler)[So I'm definitely lost. Why would you end a novel there, with your two main characters just... kissing in a confessional booth after running from a fight? It wasn't even a long fight, or a particularly interesting one to be honest ._.

Looks like Gwyn is Lucy (?) and Paul's daughter though? So there are more secrets about her birth than what was previously mentioned; such as her 'mother' not actually giving birth to her... But also, did she just kiss her cousin? o.o
