Book of the Month Guidelines

For those of you that enjoy participating in the monthly group reads, the group has determined some requirements/guidelines for participating in the group reads.

First, if you are going to nominate a title, you MUST be willing to moderate the discussion. If not, your nomination will not be considered.

Second, any books nominated must be available in both print version and ebook version to allow the participants the option of reading in their preferred format. The title pages on goodreads usually list what formats a book comes in.

Third, there is no minimum number of pages required for a nomination. However, if the nomination is a short story, please identify that in the nomination. Additionally, make it clear if you are nominating a series of short stories (for a continuous story arc) or an individual "chapter".

Fourth, authors are not allowed to self-nominate their works. Authors are encouraged to participate in the group reads and some of the best discussions have been those with author involvement but someone else needs to nominate your title besides yourself.

Additionally, their will be theme months as determined by the group that may represent exceptions to the above rules (dependent on group vote). Thanks and happy reading.
