Hallways run throughout the school, but there are two main hallways.

Zach walked into his new school, checking out the surroundings. It looked decent, just like every other school he had attended. He walked around the hallways looking for his sister. He didn't find her, or anyone for that matter, so he decided to just walk aimlessly for a bit.
Logan snuck up behind her brother, sneakers silent on the polished floors. When she was close enough to reach him she poked his shoulder suddenly. "Boo!" she grinned, readjusting her books in her grip. "What's up?" she said cheerfully, moving to walk beside him.
"Logan!" Zach yelled, grabbing her in a big bear hug. "I've been looking for you. How has school been? Have you met any friends?" He started to bombard her with questions.
Logan squeaked slightly, her petite frame lifted off the ground by Zach's enthusiasm, and her books and papers spilled all over the ground. "Ribs! Can't breath!" she gasped out, though she smiled and hugged him back fiercely, her naturally red hair spilling down her back.
"Sorry!" Zach sheepishly shrugged. He sometimes forgot how strong he was. "So, how have you been? Is everyone treating you alright?" He paused and looked straight at Logan. "Are you all right?" He put an emphasis onto the 'you'. He knew what Logan had gone through and wanted to make sure she was okay.
Logan shrugged, sobering, and her hand instinctively went to her wrist to rub the thin scar of hand cuffs there, something that had become a habit. "I'm ok." she said thoughtfully. "Or atleast, I will be. I'm getting better." she said, swiftly dodging questions about friends or how people were treating her currently. She bent over and began gathering up her papers.
"Good." Zach smiled. He knew she hadn't answered all of his questions, but he knew that she was truthful and would tell him if something was wrong. He bent down and helped scoop up all of her books and papers that she dropped. "Where to?" He asked. "I'll help you carry them wherever you need."
"Chemistry." Logan replied with a rueful grin, rolling her eyes. "it's boringly easy." the young near genius complained, tugging futilely at her school supplies in his grasp. She gave up trying to reclaim them and instead moved her hands to sweep her Ginger hair back into a ponytail, swiftly securing it with a hair band. She pushed her nerdy glasses back up her nose as they started to slide down, and suddenly burst into a fit of coughing, wincing when she stopped about a minute later. Great. Now instead of having s tickle in her throat, it felt like she has sandpaper in it instead.
"Ahh, chemistry." Zach sighed. "I remember the good ole days." He smirked and said "I guess you got the good chemistry genes like me." He then said, "Show me the way!" He smiled again, trying to get his sister to laugh.
Logan stuck her tongue out at him, though she giggled, "Immature much?" she grinned, though she started down the hall. "Forward, march!" she laughed, though didn follow her own instructions, skipping down the hall.
"Yes, ma'am!" Zach saluted Logan and started marching through the hallways. He didn't care if he looked like an idiot, as long as it made his sister happy. That was the most important thing.
As Zach was walking out of Logan's chemistry class, he wasn't paying attention to anything until he hit something with his back. He turned around and there was a girl on the floor seeming kind of dazed. "Are you okay?" Zach asked, offering a hand to help the girl up.
Zach produced some tissues out of his pocket and offered them to her. "You don't seem okay? Are you hurt? It was my fault. I wasn't paying attention."
"Do you want to go sit down somewhere? I'll act as a human crutch." Zach was worried about leaving this girl alone. He didn't even know her name, but could tell that she was fragile.
Zach watched the crying girl walk away from him and wondered: What did I do wrong? Why didn't I do the right thing? After what had happened to his sister, he took it personally whenever anyone snubbed him or didn't use his help when he offered it. He felt like he had failed in protecting them, from whatever the matter was.
He yelled at the girl from the end of the hallway, "By the way, my name is Zach!" He wished he had found out her name.
Zach watched as the girl kept her head down and suddenly turned directions. When she started walking towards him again, he felt hopeful that she might take him up on his offer. As she kept walking past him, he decided to try and cheer her up. He got up and pretended to text on his phone while not paying attention. He bumped into the girl again and said "Oh, it's you again! Let's start over, shall we? My name is Zach. What's your name?"
"I'm a senior. What about you?" Zach responded.((Thanks for joining my group :) Do you think you can make a character on it?))
Zach smiled at her and said, "What's his name? I might know him." He paused and said, "Then again, I just got here so I probably don't know him yet."
"I am just wandering around. I just got here, like I said. I was walking with my sister to Chemistry, before I bumped into you." Zach said.
"That sounds really cool! I can't wait to see your costume. I really should try and figure out mine soon." He continued by saying "Eh, I'll figure itout eventually." He sheepishly grinned.
"Hmmm....Now that you gave me the idea..." He said with a smirk. He was happy that she was coming out of her shell more now.
"Well, then I'm sure your brother and me will get along fine. I have a younger sister so I know how he feels." Zach responded. He was just jesting anyways, but he truly did know what it was like to be protective of a younger sister.
"Yeah, it's really nice. I wish we had some classes outside, that would be awesome. I mean, we have gym, but only on some days." Zach replied.
((What season is it now? Winter?))"Well, at least you have it when it will be warm outside." Zach responded.
As the bell rang and students flooded the halls, Logan made a beeline for zach, weaving through the busy halls. "Hey." she said quietly, flattening herself against the wall to avoid being swept along or trampled by the tide of kids.
"Hey Logan!" Zach smiled and engulfed her in a big hug. "This is Elizabeth. Elizabeth, this is Logan."
