I looked and read a little, and yes, I absolutely think you should move the book cover to the top. It's an apt cover that immediately illuminates your blog's topic.

On my monitor I see your rectagular logo, the top of your head (hair) and the first two sentences. I would suggest putting your pic next to the logo.
