The situation in my novel-in-progress is this: An arsonist sets fire to a restaurant in an old, shabby inner-city neighborhood. The family lives above the restaurant. The arsonist is part of a group trying to get the family to move out-- they have their own plans for the area. My questions are: 1) how the arsonist can start the fire in a way to make it spread fast. The thing is he can't enter the restaurant. 2) And how my heroine can discover a clue that it's arson. Any suggestions will be gratefully accepted. Thanks! Ruth
