do you live in Seattle Donna? I visited a friend there a couple of years ago. I'd never been before. the friendliest city I have ever visited. and beautiful. I really enjoyed my stay.

Donna | 1350 comments No, I live outside Chicago, also a beautiful (in some places) and friendly (in most places) city. I vacationed in Seattle last fall and filled some of my time with a chocolate tour. That's the map under the cupcake. I agree friendly, easily navigable and so scenic. I have to work out a return trip before I'm too old to walk down by the market or take another hike on Mt. Ranier. They called it a zero calorie tour, even though we ate LOTS of chocolate, for a reason.

Sooz 33. The Ottoman Cage by Barbara Nadel

I am not a big reader of mysteries and only picked this as Nadel has spent a lot of time in Turkey and sets her books there. I needed something a little lighter to read in between the density of the historical podcasts and non-fiction books I am currently reading about Turkey.

Ottoman Cage (Cetin Ikmen, #2) by Barbara Nadel

Behemoth β-Max (Rifters, #3) (Behemoth, #1) by Peter Watts

Sooz 47. Singularity by Stephen James

suppose to be another sci fi but it is more mystery, suspense / conspiracy thriller than true sci fi. it was enjoyable ... like popcorn is enjoyable.

Singularity (The Jevin Banks Experience, #2) by Steven James

AND holy moly! had no idea how many books were named Singularity until I looked to include it here. I could spend the next year reading nothing but books on the singularity!

48 ... and now for something more serious ...

A Marker to Measure Drift.

great title ... AND .... it is the perfect title for this story.

A Marker to Measure Drift by Alexander Maksik

and it's no surprise that typing in that name gets me only one option.

Sooz 49. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society

I'm a little late to this party - it was such a popular book a few years ago. It's okay -cute and touching in all the right ways. It's popularity is completely understandable

a really good story set in a post apocalyptic world - but I would not call it a survivalist story ... not what you typically think of when you think post-apocalyptic. a really really good story.
