It's like The Forest of Hands and Teeth, I loved the first one, but the second one The Dead Tossed Waves was AWFUL! So let's just cross our fingers and we can get through this together!

I don't know, I'm still kind of sitting on it. In any other situation, I would just abandon the series. But I'm torn because I have buddies set for the rest of the books, and I know the points will be good for the series challenge. But I don't want to read a series that I don't think I'll enjoy. So I still don't know what I'm going to do.

25% that first paragraph was crazy… I feel bad for that girl already! (view spoiler)[ so we meet Aislinn who is able to see fairies, she has the gift of sight. We also meet Keenan, who is the King of the Summer Court, and is looking for his Queen to end some sort of curse his mother has placed on his court and whichever mortal girl decides she is the queen of the summer court and really is not. Donia, is the girl that fell in love with Keenan and risked the cold for him, believing she might be the Queen of the summer court and now is cursed by the Ice queen. We also met Seth, who sounds really cute, and apparently is in love with Aislinn. We also briefly met the Ice Queen, ah that lady, this is not going to end well for you, but in the meantime, I guess she wants to have fun… (hide spoiler)]

You already cursed poor Donia, yeah she is going to stick to her oath, do you really need to hound her, and Donia really needs to tell Keenan what is going on, I get it, you still hate him, I would too, but this is more than that now, Beira even killed one of her Hags. Poor Agatha. I cannot believe Keenan enrolled in school to be close to Aislinn that is going to be interesting. Aislinn do not go out with Keenan that is not going to end up well! I would be worried about Seth too Aislinn, he seems to be vulnerable to those fairies, and when are those fairies gonna stop chasing Aislinn? (hide spoiler)]

I didn’t like that she got tricked into drinking that wine, but she should have known better, and Keenan’s promise to give her anything? Yeah she should have seen that clause coming “Aislinn: anything you ask of me that I can offer is yours.” He can’t offer to let you go because you drank that wine, and plus once he sets his eyes on you there is no letting go even if he wanted to, ah foolish girl, your grandma will be MAD! Really Beira? How do you keep getting Donia’s name wrong? That is rude! Donia and Seth… now that could be a match. I am glad that Donia is helping Aislinn regardless of the oath she made and the pain she must be going through being so cold all the time. (hide spoiler)]

80% (view spoiler)[ At least Aislinn got her answer that she wasn’t raped. She is in sooo much trouble. I loved the part where she threw salt at him, that just made him chuckle. Those summer girls are so naïve. I did not believe that Aislinn was becoming fey already, I mean I knew she was going to. Really? To avoid choosing Aislinn has to what? Die? Lame! How did that other girl die anyway? Ouch… Keenan knows Aislinn’s grandma, and what is worse, he also wooed Aislinn’s mother? (hide spoiler)]
