Saloni (salpal77) | 40 comments True, I could imagine Four living alone too... so I dunno, maybe they just become really close, bonding over their lost loves?

message 152: by Lauren (new)

Lauren It's kinda like Uriah and Christina. They never really dated; it's just that they both lost someone, and they bonded over that.

Yeah I think that's what would happen. What do you think is gonna happen to Caleb?

Yeah, yeah exactly like that!!! I can't believe that the Uriah-Christina comparison slipped my mind.

message 155: by Lauren (new)

Lauren I have no idea. He just seems alone and in the middle of everything now.

Elizabeth Siciliano (bethann4j) | 27 comments Veronica is just showing us that she has the power to make us weep her eyes out with just a few taps of the keyboard

Elizabeth Siciliano (bethann4j) | 27 comments I mean our in the second sentence

message 159: by Saloni (new)

Saloni (salpal77) | 40 comments Haha, she actually didn't want to kill Uriah at all, but the story wouldn't progress without it.

message 160: by Shachi (new)

Shachi Kulkarni (icepen) | 27 comments Saloni wrote: "If I were him, I 'd feel so guilty about everything."

Yeah, and when his life had just started looking up too

message 161: by Saloni (new)

Saloni (salpal77) | 40 comments Well kinda, I mean he thought he was gonna be executed.

message 162: by Shachi (new)

Shachi Kulkarni (icepen) | 27 comments And him and Tris had just made up, and his mom chose him over power and everything!

message 163: by Saloni (new)

Saloni (salpal77) | 40 comments wait, Caleb's mom is dead..?

message 164: by Shachi (new)

Shachi Kulkarni (icepen) | 27 comments Yeah... because Caleb is Tris's brother and Tris's mom is dead...
And Evelyn Johnson is Tobias's mom's name and those two made up before the memory serum thing

message 165: by Katie (new)

Katie (tiarose) I'm really upset that Tris died. I actually wouldn't have been as upset if Tobias died (even though I loved him). I guess I expected them to end up together because with young adult books, the ones that involve love, you expect the two people to end up together. I think it's an escape from the real world to have true love workout. I was also upset about the other deaths in the book. I felt like the book felt more rushed and not as detailed because it was from Tris and Tobias's view points. But I still like the book, I mean how could I not love the Divergent series?

I think that there was so much put into the last book, it seemed ridiculously jam packed and rushed, but yeah I loved it too.

message 167: by Nithya (new)

Nithya | 77 comments okay, so I have just seen the movie
Before the movie (which was by the way amazing) I read divergent again for the second time and enjoyed it a lot.
But now I am reading insurgent because I don't have the heart to just leave myself without reading the other 2
It was just today that I got really scared of having another emotional break down after I finish alleignt.

message 168: by Nithya (new)

Nithya | 77 comments SHOULD I READ THE BOOK AGAIN and risk another emotional break down?

message 169: by Erin (new)

Erin Vastag Nithya wrote: "SHOULD I READ THE BOOK AGAIN and risk another emotional break down?"

I reread Allegiant and it was worse the second time because I knew it was real. I knew she wouldn't pop back up and be alive. It was definitely worse the second time, but I also caught more detail.

message 170: by Nithya (new)

Nithya | 77 comments Thanks
Hopefully I won't start bawling my eyes out again lol

message 171: by Brenda (new)

Brenda Babb | 2 comments I cried so much reading these book. And part of that was she know she was the only one that could go in there. No she did did not want too. She and ever one else know there was a chance she may not come out alive. being the difrent one out of your firend sucks. but tris loved him and she did try. No I don't think David would have let her live. but the part that I got mad at is that she had lost her gun. she could have won that hands down.
for four though... He may move on with is life. but tris was his heart there will be no other for him.

message 172: by [deleted user] (new)

I absolutely hated the ending of Allegiant... I mean, why can't they just kill Jeanine and all the bad people and live happily ever after????? So unfair... :( *pouting*

message 173: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Stocks (dauntless_brave) | 33 comments The only reason I cared that Tris died was because Tobias was so sad about it. It just made me sad too. I really thought she was going to live when she survived the death gas.

message 174: by Abbera (new)

Abbera | 37 comments Allegiant was so sad. I felt really bad for Tobias. He was so strong, but in the end, he became really vulnerable person. I don't think the ending would have been any better. This was the perfect ending. It was really realistic. It was really sad that Tobias and Tris didn't marry each other and lived happily ever after.

message 175: by Olivia (new)

Olivia | 93 comments When ever I look at allegiant I tear up a bit,
Did you guys hear allegiant is being split into two movies? I'm really pissed off. It honestly makes no sense because that book had the least action out of the three and cannot be stretched into two parts!?

message 176: by [deleted user] (new)

Shut The Front Door

Allegiant Will Be An A.M.A.Z.I.N.G Two Part Movie :)

message 177: by Olivia (new)

Olivia | 93 comments I feel like it will be to stretched out! I'm not really a fan of the idea... I feel like it will take away from the suspense!

I Do Understand What You are Saying. Really I Do and I Respect Everyone's Opinions. But This 2 Part Movie Could Be *Really* Good. And It Could Have an Expanded Ending Like Where Tris and Tobias Reunite,After She Dies

message 179: by Olivia (new)

Olivia | 93 comments Ooh I like the idea if them reuniting after she dies! That might save my little heart from shattering again!

message 181: by Mickie (new)

Mickie (okayokay72) | 28 comments I don't like the way the book ended but Tris did what an Abnegation and Dauntless would do. She was selfless to make sure Caleb didn't go. And brave to do it. She did the things her faction (and former faction) would have done. So well done Veronica Roth. But I still don't like how Tris had to die. But I guess it shows everything comes with a price, it's your choice if you want to risk it.

message 182: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Siciliano (bethann4j) | 27 comments Why did she need to die that way though
I mean she gets through the death serum just barely but then she needs to die from getting shot. I think it's so sad when Peter erases his memory.

message 183: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (sarahjanenatalie) | 11 comments The events around her death were absolutely stupid, if she was going to die at least she could of sacrificed herself in a different way other then to her brother who didn't do anything to stop her 'death' in erudite. As soon as she was with Caleb leading up to getting the serum from the lab I knew she would go in. The story shows the losses of war but same here it would of been better for Tobias to die then Tris (even though I love him) it would of worked out better in my opinion.

message 184: by Clary (new)

Clary (clary_ruby) | 14 comments I thought it was a great ending, although my life is now ruined. I didn't really expect it (or really want to expect it) but I think that Tris's death is one of the things that makes the book so powerful.

message 185: by Gabbers (new)

Gabbers I thought that the ending was really sad. I think that Caleb should have died instead because then it would have a better ending and because Tris wouldn't be burdened with living with Caleb.

Olivia | 93 comments I think the fact that tris died for Caleb was what made it so powerful. The trilogy has large part of it devoted to family. Tris was constantly struggling to make her parents proud of her. Love before faction. Even though Caleb betrayed her, he was still family to her. And she loved him. He was part of their parents, and letting him die would have been like letting her parents die again. Also Caleb was sacrificing himself for the wrong reasons, to relieve his guilt.

message 188: by Nithya (new)

Nithya | 77 comments You are so right Olivia
Although my heart still aches for Tris

I agree, even though my heart is broken...

message 190: by Nithya (new)

Nithya | 77 comments I think she also died cause before Tobias ran away from Marcus to go to Dauntless and didn't face his fear. So after Tris dies he learns to keep going with his life instead of running away from it.

message 191: by Joe (new)

Joe Casana | 4 comments Now that I think about it! wouldn't that make Allegiant a tragedy?

message 192: by Joe (new)

Joe Casana | 4 comments Its so unfair. She survives multiple serums, gunshot wounds, suicidal thoughts, and self sacrifices. All to be shot by a pansy in a wheelchair. SHE SURVIVES A DEATH SERUM FOR GODS SAKE!

message 193: by ➳Halina➳ (new)

➳Halina➳ That's how I felt! She should have died in a hospital or something WITH TOBIAS AT HER SIDE!!!!!!!!!!!

message 194: by Allyson (new)

Allyson McBride | 16 comments I used to think the main character never died, but then I read Allegiant. Worst. Ending. Ever. I mean, seriously, Tris dropped the gun and walked into the room and was shot. That's not cool. I think she should have kept the gun and shot David and only got shot in the shoulder or something and then she would have to go to the hospital and Tobias would think she's dead but she's not and everyone would live more or less happily ever after with emotional scars. IS THIS TOO MUCH TO ASK??!!!

message 195: by Charlotte (new)

Charlotte (elle_the_fairy) | 9 comments Cindy ♥ wrote: "Tris dying was very sad, but Veronica did it so that she stays true to her character. Tris learns how being brave and selfless are similar in a way so her sacrificing herself made sense. I'm upset ..."

I think that is so true and I'm not really sure but I mean I don't want Christina and Tobias together either. It could be a good match, but Tris was better.

message 196: by Allyson (new)

Allyson McBride | 16 comments I don't think Christina and Tobias could ever be together. Christina isn't Tris. Tobias could never just move on and forget. He loves Tris too much to love anyone else like that.

message 197: by Lauren (new)

Lauren I'm really sad that Tris had to die, but it was for a good reason. It was just the way that she died was disappointing.

Allyson McBride | 16 comments At least Veronica Roth did something right... I'm still so sad :( Tris should not have died
