can somone help me with a question about the my books section of good reads?

I think I have finally added (except one that you all are still trying to help me find)all the books that I can remember from the last 10 years or so. I have decided that I don't want to list back from child hood. at least right now I mostly want to be able to get help finding new books to read and remember what books I am waiting to come out or see what new things authors have to offer.

Oh... my question sorry I get a bit distracted at times. I want to be able to list books that I started but chose not to finish for whatever reason, but I do not want them to show up in my read section. Is there a way to have a Did not finish section and have a book only show up there?

Yes, you can create an exclusive shelve.

Just add an "did not finish" shelve.
Then go to "My Books"
On the side it should say "bookshelves" and next to that is "edit"
Click that.
Check mark "exclusive" next to "did not finish"

Then the books added to that shelve should not be added to the "read" shelve!

thank you so much! that is exactly what I needed. Now I can list what and why I did not read and not have to look at them when I am looking at my other books.
