The only reason we might like another book is to have a more 'standard' happy ever after.
As much as I might like that myself, part of the reason this book was so engaging, is that the author took major risks by writing a different book in the genre.

Totally agree. I'm happy with how this one ended. Considering what went on in the book, it made more sense to have the type of ending that it had. Everything isn't always tied into a neat little perfect bow. And that type of ending would not have fit with what you got in this book. I thought the ending was not only fitting, but true to form, concerning the characters & the story we got with them. It ended on a shocking note, yes, & I can certainly understand why people would want a traditional hearts & flowers ending to come along with a 2nd book.
But it didn't leave me wanting another book or outcome/ending.

His name was Antonio Falco, and she names their son after him, Antonio Falcon (not Falco) Jr....mistake? No where in the book does it say he changed his name from Falco to Falcon. And is there any significance to the use of Falcon...the bird? known for their acute eyesight, unbelievable speed and hunting expertise.
But, my question remains...WHY 13?

But the Falcon & Falco thing as far as the "meaning" I took that at the beginning to be a play on words concerning his name etc.. Like when people use alias or change their name, they keep it as close to possible as their given name without making it obvious what their name really is or what it means/signifies etc.. The 13 thing, I did wonder did it have a meaning to him, other than it was obviously the number that covered his scar well. But since it was never really expounded on in the story, I just accepted it was a random number he chose to cover his scar. Like he just liked the way it looked & it served it's purpose.

And as for the #13, I would think it is more than a random choice. I would have a hard time accepting the "unlucky" connotation because luck was never referenced.
Twitch is very deliberate with his goals...make money, find Alexa, "break" her, etc.

I get the frustration. I do. And I really liked this book, but I'm not upset about her not having plans to do another book an..."
I totally agree!
I have to say, I did love this book and of course the ending too. I respect the author for keeping it as a stand alone. She easily could write a sequel and even have spin off books...Happy or Ling. BUT she did exactly what she said she would do in the blurb. I want more Twitch!! But I think she left a lot unanswered...The #13 bothers me, I want to know why 13. He seems like he has a purpose and reason for everything...so why #13 dammit!!!!

OMG!!!! I thought the something!! What does the 13 stand for!!??? The author has balls for ending the story the way she did....and I love that! ;)

I e-mailed her and asked her what it meant. But she hasn't responded!! :(
