Books appearing on shelf?

I have noticed that I books I have not read (nor have any interest in reading) seem to have appeared in my read shelf. They are not in a genre I tend to read and cant recall seeing them before, or having looked at their details at any point.

I am not sure home long they have been there as only noticed as the type of recommendations I have showing where drastically different to the usual genre types and stated they were connected to a book I had 'read' which I hadn't.

I thought maybe I had mis-clicked somewhere, though when I went to my read shelf to delete it (assuming if I delete it from my shelf it will no longer list as read by me?)I noticed some others of the same genre, that I had also neither read or enquired into. Also I cannot seem to batch delete.

Is anyone else having these problems?

Is it possible that these alien books have replaced something that was on your shelf? A duff merge can do that. Can you post an example here?
