Emperor of Thorns--Planning/started to read-No Spoilers

I'm planning on reading it once I finish "King" - so hopefully soonish.

I can't decide whether to read this one or not. I sort of feel that if I don't do it now, I'll probably never do it, but then I wasn't blown away by the last book.

That's exactly where I was. I read "Prince" and really thought it was OK with some blindingly huge problems.

But, after reading comments from other Goodreaders (Goodreadians?), I am thinking that this is like several other trilogies/series in that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. So I'm going to finish.

Emperor of Thorns was picked as one of the 'Best of 2013' books by a fair number of blogs and review sites, so I suppose that should count for something. I'll give it a week or so, as I've another couple of books to get through, then see how I feel. :)

The third was defintely on par with the first one. Id highly suggest reading it. You wont expect the ending.

I, like some of you, did not care for the second book as much as the first. I did start last night and am enjoying it so far(only 15% in).
