Uhh - if you have not read
please do! such a great read - though nothing like what I've read by Elton before it is by no means disappointing - we must never forget what went on in Germany in the years leading up to WWII (and offcourse during as well)
Just realised I don't actually have 12 books on my list up there after ticking off this one:
.So added The Floating Admiral to my 2014 tbr-list, and will figure out which book to do for the last one asap :-)
Finished
It was nice to get the end of the story of the Lauritzen brothers and their families. But must say it was a bit disappointing in it's portrayal of the pre-war years in Germany - especially after reading Ben Eltons 'Two Brothers' so recently.
Done :-)Very good read. Probably wouldn't have guessed JKR wrote it, so it's pretty obvious someone gave her secret away...
I'm thinking that when I finish these books I'll probably chose six more - it's a good way to focus my reading - and it's pretty obvious that I will finish these way before the end of the year at my current pace...
Finished off
- hope the 6th book will be out soon, as I now only have the 5th left to read...Have now done 11/12 books that I planned to read for 2014 when I made my list back in January. The only one missing is Mad About the Boy, and I'm still waiting for that to be ready from the library.
Therefore I decided to choose another 6 books, making my total TBR challenge for 2014 into an 18 books challenge. The next 6 books I chose are:
Finished
John Irving is always a guarantee for a great read - and this one did not disappoint me - long though it was
Finally got a copy of
from the library - fun read, though I do find Bridget slightly annoying... So now it's time to read those final books on my list :-)
Made it through En dråbe i havet (a fast read actually). It's been on my tbr-list since getting it for my birthday from a friend a couple of years back. I've had this feeling that it wouldn't be my thing, unfortunately I was right :-(
