Mariam and I have both started reading this book. I'm trying to get caught up with her so we can continue reading the series. Sorry for the last minute invitation but we hope you can join us!

I've been wanting to read this one for SO long, but I have SO many buddy reads going. IF I get at least partially through all of them enough, I'll jump in. You both liking it so far?
Hey guys thought I would join this as I have read 2 out of the 3 books in the maze runner trilogy so I am free to discuss them, also I can join in when you get round to reading the last book
Charlie wrote: "I personally found the 2nd book to be a big let down as I quite enjoyed the 1st one"Yeah, I wasn't a huge fan of the second one either, something about the writing wasn't quite as strong. But I thought the third one was a lot better and a great finish to the series :)
I just finished the first book! It definitely stops at a point that you want to continue reading right on to the next one. Kinda bummed that you guys didn't enjoy the second as much though!
You might like it more than we did though, but it felt like a bit of a filler for me. But still worth reading as the third book was pretty awesome :)
Did you read the prequel too? If so, after all of the books or between two of them? I never know when to read prequels that are released later! Mean authors.
I know what you mean Audra! I have the prequel to The Maze Runner but I haven't read the next 2 books yet & I'm not sure if it's better to read it before or after continuing the series. & I heard from a lot of people as well that the 2nd book in the series isn't as good as the first, but for the most part I think the first book in most series is the best since it's basically the book that sets everything into motion :)
It was so sad! I should have seen it coming. He had killed off so many other characters that we weren't really attached to that it almost had to happen.
Mariam wrote: "But on another note, how depressed were you guys when [spoilers removed]"Aww yeah, I hated that!
yes I agree the second book did seem a bit of a filler. I think that it was dragged out way too long to describe just one journey.I didn't know there is a prequel! What's it called?
