Smashwords is a publisher, so the data from there can be used to add a book record here. We do not currently have any import feed that brings those in from Smashwords (I don't think we ever have), but any librarian can add it manually.

I was under the impression - at first - that we added editions and not eRetailers (with the exception of Amazon, of course). So (following that logic) I would have removed the B&N catalog number and corrected it with the standardized ISBN-13.

Everyone knows the search stinks so I used Kobo's ISBN to search: 9781604504972 and got nothing.

Did the same ISBN search with DuckDuckGo and also saw Smashwords uses the same ISBN of 9781604504972.

So why doesn't that ISBN work here? From what I can tell, we only have the B&N 294 ISBN on file:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
so a person making a search would HAVE To use B&N's or Amazon's proprietary cataloging number instead of the standardized ISBN.
Is there something that can be done about this? Or has GR decided to add both editions and eRetailers?
