I added part of the wikipedia writeup and removed the incorrect one, which may belong to a contemporary writer using the same name. I'm trying to track him down.

I don't remember why (it has something to do with the pre-Gregorian calendar), but to get dates to save properly that are before about 1600, you have to add days to them. So I added 9 days to each of the correct dates, and it saved properly.

Thank you rivka!
I have added the rest of the information to the "other" Lorenzo: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

Nice catch, I'd been wondering where the wrong info came from but couldn't figure it out, now I can put the two stray novels under the correct author. Thanks!
He was not born in Milan on December 23, 1488, but rather January 1, 1449 in Florence.
He died on April 9, 1492, not March 31, 1492.
How can he have a website if he's dead, and died about 500 years before it was widely used!
The United States, much less America as a continent, was not known by Europeans, so how could he go to study there? He ruled Florence with his brother, Giuliano de' Medici, after their father, Piero de' Medici, died. Switzerland was not a country yet either! In fact, the Swiss began calling themselves 'Swiss' in 1499, seven years after Lorenzo died! And if he was ruling Florence, how could he have lived in Germany, Austria, the United States and Monte Carlo???
Please correct it on his page! I know that he's dead but it matters to me.
