do i have to read the maleficent seven before reading last stand of dead men?

not really, its a stand alone that doesn't even include skulduggery and valkyrie...its a good one though
There are references to the 7 story in L.S.O.D.M, and characters that you won't have encountered before, it also explains a lot of motive behind certain characters actions. I'd recommend reading it first. It may not be necessary but it will increase your understanding of certain references/behaviours etc.
its just that i currently dont have access to it, so.......
As long as you don't mind a few spoilers for future reading, enjoy the book you have :)
