I just finished up another book last night, so I'm going to start it on my lunch today. But I won't get very far. LOL

Ok, I started this, and I like it, but I have three other books going at the moment so I haven't gotten very far....

Nicole (nicole21) | 573 comments The prologue seems really pointless. It could've been pretty amazing with the dead guy's two girlfriends both there as well as Maggie's ex. I'm no where near finished with the book, so maybe it'll become important, but I'm thinking not. Also, what happened between the funeral and Maggie and Max getting together? Three years after the funeral they've only been together for seven months. Wondering why Maggie waited.

I'm sure it'll come out eventually. I still haven't gotten back to it yet. :(

Nicole (nicole21) | 573 comments I misunderstood the prologue. Maggie and Max didn't date in college; in fact, Max didn't even know who she was back then. Odd though that Maggie would have a crush from ages ago that she still recognizes and didn't know was best friends with her boyfriend's brother.

This book is decent enough, but I'm not really connecting with any of the characters. Maggie would be the most relatable for me, but she seems quite weak.

I'm only 50 pages in, not really enough to make a dent in this book. I just finished one of the four that I have started last night, so I'm hoping to get back to this one today.

Nicole (nicole21) | 573 comments Almost done. It took an unexpected turn. I was pretty sure I knew what was going to happen (and it still looks like what I thought will happen at the very end), but then Max went a different route. It'll be a spoiler to comment much more, but I will say that Max clearly didn't have a good read on Maggie.

I promise I will finish it!!! :)

I got sucked into the new Sarah Mlynowski book and that's pretty much all I want to read right now. :)

Nicole (nicole21) | 573 comments Finished. I ended up liking it in the end. The ending was as I expected, but quite drama-free which was nice (although some may find it a bit boring).

I finished the other book (really good, btw), so now I can get back to this one.

Ok, I gave it 87 pages....just couldn't push myself any further. Maybe if I could find it on audiobook.....I just couldn't maintain any interest in it, the story was too slow in developing.

message 15: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicole21) | 573 comments Yeah, it was definitely slow and jumped around a lot at first. I ended up liking it, but I understand that there are just too many books out there to stick with ones that don't grab you right away.

Yeah, that's pretty much how I operate. If I'm asked to read and review a book, and I find I don't care for it in the beginning, I will push through it. But if I don't have to, I'm not going to bother.
