Thank you for understanding.

It was the only option available to me to correct Goodread's mistake.
My apologies.

Sorry for sounding harsh. You are not going to be flagged now, but I had to give you a warning. Changing[adding] the description for a book that is your personal statement is against the rules. Please restrain yourself from doing this in the future.
How would you feel if your book ended up on someone else' profile and you see not the description of it, but someone's statement?
P.S. Are the two books I've left both yours? If you see anything else that needs correcting please tell me.

I do not mind you being "harsh" but I am not happy about being the one who might possibly be "flagged" because of Goodreads' error.
How would such a thing happen...? I had to PROVE my identity before becoming a "Goodreads Author" so how does someone not even vetted get associated with my profile...?
Probably not your area, I realize, but it's quite confusing to me.
With regards to changing descriptions, they were in my list and therefore I had access. I did NOT post anything negative about those books - simply stated they are not mine.
Will certainly go through this board from now on - thanks for your hard work on this.

1. You will NOT get flagged. If you EVER get flagged it will not be because of your identity.
2. There is no one else associated with your profile. In fact the other person with your name is not on Goodreads. It is an author profile but not a Goodreads profile, meaning no one had claimed it.
3. The problem comes from the way the system differentiates the author names. It is done by adding an extra space between the names for every author with the same name [there are authors with 15 spaces]. See the exact explanation HERE.
Example: [^=space]
Stephanie^Hoover
Stephanie^^Hoover
As you are Stephanie Hoover with one space when a script or a person that is no a librarian adds a book there is no way for them to check how many profiles are there and what is the correct spacing. The script is not smart enough and the users don't have Librarian rights so there is no way for them to check that out. That will lead to books from the second author being added to YOUR profile.
Nothing I can do.
4. What I can advise you is to change the two profiles [ask for additional space between your names]. Post HERE or contact support so that you become Stephanie^^Hoover and Stephanie^^Hoover becomes Stephanie^Hoover, Then you will have to hunt for your book, but at least you won't be facing your current problem.
P.S. The support is slower.
I hope that made it more clear. If you have any more questions I would be happy to answer as best as I can

I did not contribute to this anthology:

Please remove it from my list of works:

The only works that should be listed are "He Sees You When You're Sleeping," "Matachewan," and "Adrift."
Thank you.

Disambiguated.
I am a traditionally published non-fiction writer and I am currently in the process of obtaining an agent. I do NOT want an agent (or anyone else) thinking I've self-published or written books that I have NOT.
I need this other writer's books disassociated with my profile IMMEDIATELY. How do I do that...?
