Hi everyone. For the past decade, I've researched an unsolved ax murder of an entire German immigrant family in 1874. I grew up near the murder scene in Illinois -- and wanted to write a book because it was so poorly documented. (Oral stories of the crime kept me awake as a boy.) My book on the case, which made national headlines, comes on next month. It is a gripping tale (or at least I hope) of suspense and suspicion that exposes brand new information about the century-old killing and showcases the flaws of the nineteenth-century justice.

You can read more about the book (and an excerpt) at my website: http://www.nickpistor.com

If you're interested in mysteries or true crime, I'd be honored if you gave it a look. Thanks, Nick.
