Sυммer Rαιɴ || Wrιтιɴɢ ιѕ α cαllιɴɢ, ɴoт α cнoιce. (summerrain15) Blake
Q1: Blake took the serum and leaned his head back with a sigh. When he opened his eyes, he was standing knee deep in snow, in tundra. He gazed around, unsure where he was, when his gaze fell on the little girl. He hesitated, knowing he should give her his coat. He should protect her. Though he wasn’t particularly driven to, he knew she wouldn’t survive without him, while he could survive without his coat. So, after a minute of thought, he pulled off his coat and lay it over her shoulders, reaching up to pat her head. “There you go, kid.” He said, nodding to her. Then he reached into his pocket, pulling out his packet of smokes. Even in a Sim, his natural response was to smoke, lighting it up with the hopes of it warming him a bit too. (Answer A, though he did hesitate and did try to warm himself up too, though it’s a feeble attempt.)
Q2: After taking a long drag on his smokes, he turned and spotted the bear. “Got to be kidding me… Well, we’re screwed now. Sorry kid, I don’t think we’ll last against a polar bear.” But then he paused, a small smile turning up the corners of his lips. He tossed his cigarette to the snowy ground, stepping on it and covering it with snow in the process. “Doesn’t mean we have to give up though. Who knows, you might even live.” He pulled his pocket knife out of his other pocket and lunged for the bear, even though he wasn’t a master fighter. However, as he swiped the knife towards the bear, it disappeared, to the third part of the test. (Kind of a mixture of Answer 3 and Answer 2. He says they’ll die but he’s not gonna give up, and he kind of tells her she might live.)
Q3: A smirking Blake was quite proud of his victory against the bear, as he slipped his pocketknife back into his pocket. “Well, guess he didn’t want to stick around, huh? Too bad, I could have used the fight. Maybe an injury to get out of school.” That’s when he heard the rumbling and saw the avalanche going towards them. He didn’t consider Avalanches very dangerous, figuring he could dig himself out. Plus he didn’t see any other options. So he began running through the snow towards it, facing it head-on. And then, just as he braced himself for the hit, it woke up in the chair with a start, groggy, glancing towards the mirror and blinking at his reflection before he sat up, looking to the instructor. “So, how’d I do?” (Answer A)

Sυммer Rαιɴ || Wrιтιɴɢ ιѕ α cαllιɴɢ, ɴoт α cнoιce. (summerrain15) Allison
Q1: Allison barely was able to drink the serum, coughing and making a disgusted expression, “What is this?” She demanded to know, clearly not liking the taste. However, when she turned her head to the instructor, she blinked and found herself standing in tundra. Instantly she shivered, since she was only wearing black leggings and a tight black corset-like top with a cropped long sleeved sweater, with black combat boots. She looked around and spotted the girl, her eyes widening. “Oh. Hi there.” Realizing the girl was cold, she glanced down at her sweater. She wasn’t known for being selfless, in fact she wasn’t close. Maybe in life or death circumstances, but give away something? No. She was seriously debating giving her sweater away, and finally decided to give it to her, albeit grudgingly. She slid it off and handed it to the girl. “Here. I was keeping it warm for you.” She said, putting on a smile. She seriously regretted it however, shivering. (Answer A, though she hesitated)
Q2: Allison heard the growl of the polar bear and turned. Instinctively she moved in front of the little girl, protecting her, reaching a hand back to keep her close. “Stay close to me. There’s a 78% chance I’ll die and you won’t…” She laughed lightly, shaking her head, “Geez, what an end, I get eaten by a polar bear.” She didn’t have a weapon on her, so with her arms and body she shielded the girl, closing her eyes and waiting. But when the growling stopped, she peeked open her eyes to find the bear gone. Whew. (Answer B.)
Q3: But of course, they have to add more danger. Allison saw the snow tumbling down. She was torn for a moment. She saw the rock, she saw the girl, but she thought hiding would be cowardly. She didn’t want to hide behind the rock, but she also needed to protect the girl. After a few seconds watching the snow tumble closer, she made a decision. “Hide behind the rock, don’t come out!” She told the girl, pointing to it. When she made sure the girl was safely behind the rock, she stood, facing the avalanche. Whatever would come, would come. With that, she closed her eyes. When she opened them again, she was back in the testing room, and she had a pounding headache. “Ugh… Good thing I only have to do that once.” She sat up, looking at her instructor, “So?” She asked, a bit nervous. (A little bit of answer D and C, but A mostly. She protected the girl but also faced the avalanche.)

Sυммer Rαιɴ || Wrιтιɴɢ ιѕ α cαllιɴɢ, ɴoт α cнoιce. (summerrain15) Stephanie
Q1: Stephanie didn’t hesitate to drink the serum, trusting what it was since it had been developed by the Erudite. When she found herself in the tundra, she shivered in her Amity clothes, since they were warm weather clothes. Seeing the girl, she didn’t hesitate to pull off her orange sweater, putting it over the girl’s shoulders. She didn’t say anything to the girl, but she knew she could make them both warm, so she got to work on doing so. She dug around in the snow, finding two rocks she could use as flint stones. Licking her finger and holding it up, she got a good test of where the wind was coming from. Clearing some snow so there was a round spot of the ground where grass and twigs were, she pulled off a green scarf she had, laying it down to use with the twigs. She set it up just right so there could be air underneath, knowing it needed oxygen to light up. Stephanie used to camp with her father in the Amity farmlands, so she knew what to do. Smacking the stones together, she managed to get it lit. Carefully blowing on it and standing so her body blocked the snowy wind, the fire got bigger until it could warm her and the girl. (Answer A and B)
Q2: Seeing the polar bear, Stephanie froze for a second, her mind going through the options. She knew she couldn’t fight the polar bear, and in normal situations she would die. There was a 78% only one of them would die, but she didn’t want to die and she didn’t want the little girl to die. But she found her gaze drifting until she was looking at the fire she had made. “This… isn’t real.” She murmured absentmindedly to herself, realizing this was the serum and the fear she was feeling was irrational. She looked at the girl and smiled. “It’s going to be okay.” That was the truth, because she realized this wasn’t real. She stepped forward, fear coursing through her but she ignored it. Holding out a hand to the polar bear, she squeezed her eyes shut, her heart racing, praying she was right. When the bear didn’t attack, she opened her eyes and breathed in relief when she saw it was okay. (A little of all three answers, mostly answer A.)
Q3: Stephanie heard the rumbling before she saw it, and when she did her jaw dropped. A squeak-like sound escaped her, and she stared for a moment before she realized if she didn’t act, she’d fail… or die. She thought of her options. Run away? No, she’d never outrun an avalanche. Face it? Nope, she’s not brave enough for that, no way. Sit and do nothing but wait for death? Not a chance. Looking around for any other option she spotted a nice large rock that might shield them from the snow. Grabbing the little girl’s hand she said, “Come on!” Trudging through the snow as fast as her feet could take her, she hid behind the rock, pulling the little girl close. Her voice shook as she spoke, “This will be over soon.” That was true. She closed her eyes, and when she opened them again she had woken up with a gasp, sitting up so fast she got a headrush. “Oh… Thank god that’s over.” She whispered to herself, glad to be not dying in an avalanche. (Answer C and E.)

Sυммer Rαιɴ || Wrιтιɴɢ ιѕ α cαllιɴɢ, ɴoт α cнoιce. (summerrain15) Peter
Q1: Peter drank the serum and blinked. “Okay, now what?” He asked, only to find he wasn’t in the testing room anymore. He stood in the tundra, shivering from the cold. When he saw the kid, he eyed her distrustfully. He realized he should probably give her his coat, but he was cold too, and he really didn’t want to. Still, he couldn’t just leave her to freeze. So, he took off his coat and ripped it into four pieces. He ripped off the sleeves and then ripped the middle into two pieces with some effort. Digging around in the snow, he found some long grass that had been flatted by it. Tearing out the grass he used the long strands as string. He slid the sleeves onto the kid and then used the grass strands to tie together the other two pieces into makeshift sleeves around his arms. He knew that extremities got cold faster than your middle, so he didn’t really need the whole jacket, he just needed to keep his arms warm. This way, he kept both the kid and him warm. (Answer B.)
Q2: When the polar bear appeared, Peter was wide eyed and went pale. “We’re so going to die…” He stammered, not even trying to act like they stood a chance. Statistically there was a 78% chance but he didn’t particularly trust he’d be in that 78%. He wasn’t that lucky. He grabbed the girl’s hand to run away but the polar bear had already disappeared. (Answer C.)
Q3: Peter saw the snow coming towards them and cursed under his breath. Still holding the girl’s hand he took off at a run, trudging through the snow. He thought if he could just run far enough, the snow would be less deep if it overcame them or they could get out of its reach entirely. Plus he was scared, there was no way he was facing that mountain. When he was taken out of the simulation, he sat right up, heart pounding, face white as a ghost, his blue eyes wide and frantic. But he slowly relaxed and nervously looked to the instructor. (Answer B.)

Sυммer Rαιɴ || Wrιтιɴɢ ιѕ α cαllιɴɢ, ɴoт α cнoιce. (summerrain15) Andrew
Q1: Andrew had been nervous all morning. What if the test told him some other faction was better? What if he didn’t belong anywhere? But he gulped down the serum anyway. When he saw the girl, he didn’t hesitate to give her his jacket. It was an instant reaction, he didn’t even think it through. But after he did, he knew he did the right thing. Besides, kids were smaller, she’d get cold faster.
Q2: Andrew froze when he saw the polar bear approaching. He turned to the girl, taking her by the shoulders, “Listen. You’re going to be okay. I won’t let anything happen to you.” He promised quietly before he stood and moved so he was shielding her from the bear, though he was shaking. He wanted to run away, but he couldn’t move. That was probably the only reason he was sticking around. But the polar bear disappeared, so he could breathe easy again. (Answer A.)
Q3: When the avalanche headed towards them, Andrew knew they were screwed. He could deal with a lot of things. He couldn’t prevent an avalanche from killing them. Looking to the girl, who was even more scared than he was, he knew he had to do something. So he knelt down and hugged her, squeezing his eyes shut. “It’ll be over soon…” He murmured in her ear, a sense of dread overcoming him since he knew they would die. But the next thing he knew, he was opening his eyes in the testing room, the little girl gone. He promptly leaned over the chair and vomited, groaning. (Answer E.)

Sυммer Rαιɴ || Wrιтιɴɢ ιѕ α cαllιɴɢ, ɴoт α cнoιce. (summerrain15) Jasper
Q1: Thanking the tester, Jasper drank the serum he was given. It took less than a second to work and he found himself standing in the Tundra. Seeing the little girl he smiled and knelt beside her, “Hello beautiful. Are you cold? Here.” His tone was so gentle, charming as he took off his jacket like a prince and held it so she could get into it. He shivered at the cold but he’d rather she was warm, gently rubbing her arms to warm her up even more. (Answer A.)
Q2: Seeing the bear, Jasper tensed. He put an arm around the girl, holding her close. “Don’t worry. It’s going to be okay, I’m right here.” He told her, slowing backing up from the bear and bringing her with him. When he blinked, the bear was gone and he relaxed, turning to her again with another smile. “See? Told you it’d be okay.” (Answer A)
Q3: Seeing the avalanche, Jasper knew he didn’t have time to do much. So he moved so he was protecting the little girl, his arms around her, his back to the avalanche, shielding her. If he died, he wanted to die saving someone. He closed his eyes and said to her, “I’m here.” He even kissed her forehead to comfort her, like a boy and his little sister. However, he woke up shortly after that, blinking as his eyes adjusted to the test room again. He sat up, smiling, running his hand through his curly brown hair, “Was that all of it? How’d I do?” (Answer D)

Sυммer Rαιɴ || Wrιтιɴɢ ιѕ α cαllιɴɢ, ɴoт α cнoιce. (summerrain15) Mason
Q1: Mason sniffed the serum curiously before slowly sipping it down. When he woke up in the tundra, he looked rather confused. Then he saw the little girl, all on her own, shivering in the cold. “Oh… Hey there… Are you all alone here?” He asked, walking towards her. He slipped off his blazer and draped it over her shoulders, pulling it shut around her so she could keep warm. (Answer A.)
Q2: Mason turned when he heard the growl of the polar bear. His eyes widened and he swallowed hard in fear. “O-Okay… that’s um… Well…” He stammered, but when he saw how scared the girl was, he knew he had to comfort her. “It’s gonna be okay.” He told her, and when he looked up again, the polar bear was gone. How strange. (Answer A.)
Q3: When facing the avalanche, Mason lost his urge to save the girl. He panicked, and ran. He ran but he saw the rock and went to hide behind it, closing his eyes and waiting fearfully. Sure, he was a bit of a coward when he was faced with avalanches. Most people would be. Thankfully this one wasn’t real and he woke up. When he saw the test instructor, shame came across him and he looked away, frowning. He wished he had saved the girl, but he hadn’t. Had he messed up his answer? He would never know. (Answer C.)

Sυммer Rαιɴ || Wrιтιɴɢ ιѕ α cαllιɴɢ, ɴoт α cнoιce. (summerrain15) Stiles
Q1: Stiles studied the serum nervously. “Erm… this won’t turn my hair blue or something, right?” He joked, laughing with the same nervous tone. The instructor just gave him a look, so he hesitantly gulped it down. Smacking his lips from the taste, he turned his head back to the instructor only to find he was standing in a snowy wasteland. He spotted the girl, and his first instinct was to get goosebumps. He looked around and called out, “Is this like a horror movie scenario? Like am I going to help a kid only to find it’s possessed by an ice demon who murders me?” Finding no response, he trudged over to the kid, seeing her shivering. “Oh. You’re cold.” He stated, like it had just occurred to him. He pulled off his coat and handed it to her. Then, gazing around, he wondered if maybe cheering her up might warm her too. He saw some big round ice chunks nearby. Picking up three he turned back to the girl, grinning. “Wanna see something cool?” With that, he started juggling the three ice chunks, his eyes following their movements. “Eh? Isn’t this fun?” He said, and promptly got distracted, one of the chunks hitting him in the head. “OWWW!” He yelled, hopping around and holding his head, making the little girl giggle. She did seem to be shivering less. (Answer A, with some fun put in.)
Q2: With the girl and him laughing, he seemed surprised when the girl stopped laughing and started looking scared. Giving her an odd look, he wondered what was scaring her. Then he realized. “There’s something behind me, isn’t there?” He asked. When she nodded, he turned around to see the bear. “Oh shitake mushrooms… Okay… It’s going to be okay… Let’s just um…” He started backing away from the bear, an ice chunk still in his hands. “Here goes nothing. Sorry for this, big guy, I support animal rights, but you’re probably hungry and going to eat us so…” He muttered, throwing the ice chunk and hitting the bear right in the nose. “RUNNN!” He yelled when it roared in response, but when he grabbed the girl’s hand to make a getaway, the angry bear disappeared. (Answer A.)
Q3: Relieved he had evaded the bear, Stiles smiled at the girl. Then he saw the snow rolling down the mountain towards them. His eyes opened wide and he froze momentarily. “Uh… so… we should probably run now, right?” He suggested shakily. The girl nodded and he turned, dragging her along as they ran. (Answer B.)

Sυммer Rαιɴ || Wrιтιɴɢ ιѕ α cαllιɴɢ, ɴoт α cнoιce. (summerrain15) Catherine.
Q1: Catherine drank the serum with no hesitation, not even seeming surprised when she ended up in the tundra. Seeing the little girl, she approached with caution, holding her jacket close to herself. Noticing the girl was cold, she frowned. She could have given her coat… but she didn’t particularly want to. But she was wearing a big coat, so she knelt down. “Come here.” She called to the little girl. When the girl was close enough, she wrapped her in a hug, wrapped the coat around the both of them to keep warm. (Answer C and B.)
Q2: Catherine stared at the polar bear when it appeared. She couldn’t fight a polar bear, she knew that. No weapons, no chance. She wasn’t about to lie to the little girl, so she said grimly, “We die today.” Getting on her knees, she sat, lowering her head, closing her eyes. She was scared, but she wouldn’t run. She was ready for it, waiting for death. When it didn’t come she looked up again, opening her eyes, only to find they were alone again. “Or not…” She murmured, confused. (Answer C.)
Q3: Yet the danger wasn’t gone yet. Now with the avalanche coming, Catherine knew her death was coming again. But this time she could avoid it. This time she wasn’t about to wait for her death. Picking the girl up she started to run, seeing the rock and pulling them behind it just as the avalanche hit. Thankfully she woke up, the beginning of a headache starting. “That sucked. Is it over? What’d I get?” She asked, sitting up with a scowl. (Answer C.)

Sυммer Rαιɴ || Wrιтιɴɢ ιѕ α cαllιɴɢ, ɴoт α cнoιce. (summerrain15) Dexter
Q1: When Dexter knocked back the serum like tequila shots, he didn’t think it’d affect him immediately. “How long is this stupid test going to take? I have stuff to do.” He said, only to blink and find himself in the tundra. He saw the girl and approached, but a shiver went down his spine and it wasn’t from being cold. He blinked, gazing at her, an odd expression on his face. “You… You’re not real… I’m not giving you my coat, you’re a figment of my imagination. Why should I feel cold just to please you?” He sneered, holding his coat closer to himself. He knew he was under the effects of the serum. (Answer C.)
Q2: When the polar bear appeared, once more Dexter was aware it wasn’t real. He didn’t panic or fear, crossing his arms. “Well, you’re going to die, but then again, you aren’t real anyway.” He said calmly, not caring. Unfortunately the bear disappeared, and Dexter grumbled something about how he isn’t a babysitter for imaginary children. (Answer C.)
Q3: Hearing the avalanche, Dexter turned to see the snow coming down. He grinned, “Might not be real, but when else will I get the chance to be in an avalanche?” He said. With that he started walking towards the Avalanche, unafraid, ready to face it. He didn’t even close his eyes when the snow hit him and he woke up, sitting right up in the chair of the testing room. Sighing, he crossed his arms. “Finally that’s over. You should get a better test, I mean, the chances of those things actually happening? Why test us with fake things, it’ll never happen.” He just spoke what came to mind, not caring what the tester thought. “So? What’s my result?”

Sυммer Rαιɴ || Wrιтιɴɢ ιѕ α cαllιɴɢ, ɴoт α cнoιce. (summerrain15) There's my characters. The ones that are Divergent can tell it was fake, because Divergent can fight the serums and tell when they're under the affect of one. And the ones that are slightly Divergent might kind of know but act normal anyway. And yeah... Anyway, there you go. ^-^ Took me a while to write all those.
