I loved the books back then, but that was also because I was like 15 when I read them. Now I see also some flaws with the story like the insta love.
I really like the characters nontheless. Gwen is really cute and Gideon is arrogant but in a good way, if that makes any sense.. :D
In my opinion the books get better with each sequel, so I would also read the other two in the triology. I think this is a cute fun story and it's worth the read.

I can't wait to start that one as soon as I've finished the book I'm reading right now.

I loved the series but the movie is in German:(
I am starting this one right now.

It helps that the translation is excellent. A lot of translations are awkward. You know your reading a translation. If I didn't know different, I would have never guessed.

I loved this book. I read it last week. Was it one of my favorite books ever and just can't ever over how much I love it type of book? No. However, I really did enjoy this and as soon as I finished it, I lent it to one of my coworkers so I would have someone to talk about it with. I felt it was a bit anticlimactic, which is normally something I discourage, but in the case of this particular book, I didn't mind. Mostly because I feel like it is building up to something in the next two books. I feel like there is a purpose to this being a trilogy, it's not a trilogy just for the sake of being a trilogy, but really an elaborate story that spans the length of three books.
I wasn't even halfway through Ruby Red when I already knew I was going to want to read the second one and ordered it. Sapphire Blue arrived yesterday, so I dropped the book I was currently reading to start reading this one.
Still forming my opinions on the characters though. I don't know that I like Gwen, but I don't particularly dislike her either. As far as Gideon, I feel like I'm constantly changing my mind about him. The arrogant jerk thing tends to get on my nerves, but it feels appropriate to him somehow. The story itself and the concept around the time travel in this book is interesting to me (especially considering I tend to dislike time travel books, they bore me). I think the fact that this felt like a mix of contemporary/historical fiction instead of your average sci-fi time travel made me enjoy it more.

And the movie was pretty good too :)
Read the entire trilogy in two days :p

It was entertaining but not my fav

Just started this and I really like it so far! It's funny, which I didn't expect!

The movies are German, so the style is a bit different. There are also some changes (especially in the second movie) and the special effects are sometimes not the best. But I still really liked it and I think it's a cute adaptation.

Yes, nothing special, but they were a nice way to spend the time during a rainy Sunday afternoon. I watched them in Italian, because that's where I live. I think they are filming the third one right now and it will be out next year.
