SouthernAngel (sounthernangel) | 104 comments Here we go. :D

♠ TABI⁷ ♠ (tabi_card) Yay! So did you have any thoughts? I can usually come up with something, but I like hearing other's ideas first :)

message 3: by SouthernAngel (new)

SouthernAngel (sounthernangel) | 104 comments I usually like doing damsel in distress type things. But otherwise I can write just about anything.

♠ TABI⁷ ♠ (tabi_card) damsel in distress...ok like what?

message 5: by SouthernAngel (new)

SouthernAngel (sounthernangel) | 104 comments An abused girl escapes her captor and runs to the woods where she is found by a lycan alpha. That's just one. But it's one I've been wanting to do.

♠ TABI⁷ ♠ (tabi_card) Hmmm sorry but it's kinda cliche :P um, how about like a medieval one? OOoh! like a twist on Rapunzel? like she escapes and ends up meeting this guy in the woods who helps her against the witch who has been mistreating her her whole life?

message 7: by SouthernAngel (new)

SouthernAngel (sounthernangel) | 104 comments Sounds good to me. :D

♠ TABI⁷ ♠ (tabi_card) Okies! So you be the Rapunzel type girl or the guy? lol jw

message 9: by SouthernAngel (new)

SouthernAngel (sounthernangel) | 104 comments I'd prefer the girl. But honestly it's up to you. I can play either of them.

message 10: by ♠ TABI⁷ ♠ (new)

♠ TABI⁷ ♠ (tabi_card) You can have the girl :) So. Character creation?

Here's the form.

Name:
Age:
Gender:
Appearance: (try to do as many pics as you can, just for fun. If not, that's ok haha but I don't mind lots of pics for characters lol)

And dat's dat. If you want to do personality and history thats fine too but that's just the basic form :)

message 13: by SouthernAngel (new)

SouthernAngel (sounthernangel) | 104 comments Nice! :D

Last chance. This was the last chance she would probably ever get. The last chance to even think about seeing what the world was like outside of this stupid tower. This tiny stuffy, smelly tower. Maia took a deep breath as she leaned against the only window and looked out over the woods that were below her. She had always dreamed of running through them and swimming in the lake that she could see far away from the tower. She smiled a little as she thought about what it would feel like gliding through the water, feeling it against her skin and...

"What ya doin', gurl!?" A nasty voice hissed from behind her. She spun around and swallowed hard looking at the woman in front of her. She was a witch through and through. Only when others were near the tower did the witch ever even attempt to hide what she was.

"Just looking." Maia said looking down at her hands fiddling with the thin dress she had on.

"Don't get no ideas." The witch hissed walking over and clasping her grimy hands around Maia's chin forcing her to look up. "Sooo pretty, jus' a few more days."

Maia swallowed hard again. The witch had never told her why she was trapped in the tower, but she knew it wasn't good. With a sharp pat on the cheek the witch turned and walked to the only door in the tower locking it firmly behind her. Maia sagged against the window behind her and took a deep breath fear rolling through her body once more. She glanced behind her as she heard the witch's carriage pull away from the tower and she bit her lower lip rushing towards her bed and pulling out the sheets that she had stashed under the bed tearing them apart and braiding them into tight ropes. She wasn't sure it would work, but either way she figured she would be dead so why not give it a shot.

She tied it tightly to the heavy bed and tossed it out the window of the towers. She bit her lip as she looked down, it was so far down to the ground she wasn't sure she wanted to attempt it anymore.

"I have to, I have to feel freedom just once." She whispered softly before she climbed out the window and started climbing down the rope. The closer she got to the bottom the more excited she got. She heard the sheet tear to late and the next thing she knew she was hurdling towards the ground. She curled up in a tight ball right before she hit the ground. She gasped as the air was knocked from her lungs and it took her a good five minutes just to regain her breath again.

Once she could breath she slowly stood up and looked around. The ground felt weird under her bare feet and she wiggled her toes around in the dirt a smile flashing across her face. She squealed as she tore off towards the woods her side sore from where she had landed. She hadn't broken anything, but it was sore. Adrenaline was pumping through her veins and fresh air was flowing through her lungs. There would be no stopping her, not now that she was free.

♠ TABI⁷ ♠ (tabi_card) Jared ran through the forest, a grin on his features as he clutched a stolen sword against his chest. He could hear dogs baying faintly behind them, but no one dared go into the woods except him. Everyone was afraid of the witch, the evil hag rumored to live in these woods.

He wasn't afraid. He'd never seen such a witch, and so these woods were safe to him. They were what he called home. And he was smiling because he knew that, because he knew that now he wouldn't be caught. But, he still kept running because one could never be too cautious. Jared had only stayed out of the hands of the law for this long because he was cautious.

Or because he just was lucky. Call it what you will. He was a thief. He stole artifacts for a living, selling them to the troll and goblin markets on the other side of the wood. Because they were hunted so much by the humans, they readily bought any supplies and things Jared could bring them. Most humans they had a hard, stubborn hatred for...except for him.

Jared sometimes thought it was because of his charming manner, but it was really because he simply treated them with respect and not like brutes. They did look like brutes, mind you, but they were nearly as smart as humans.

And so he continued through the woods, the baying of the dogs and the shouts of his pursuers having finally faded behind him, with hardly a care in the world. Hardly anything happened to him in these woods.

SouthernAngel (sounthernangel) | 104 comments Maia skipped through the woods grinning as she went enjoying everything that she saw. Every bird that flew by or little critter that scampered out of her way. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes as she kept running, the path was empty in front of her and she barely opened it in time to make the sharp turn. She froze when she saw someone coming her way a sword clung to his chest. She screamed and scrambled backwards down the trail her feet flying out from under and as she landed hard on her butt.

She had never met anyone else before and the witch was the only person she had ever met. She wasn't sure she was ready to meet other beings.

♠ TABI⁷ ♠ (tabi_card) Jared came to a halt when a girl came running around a corner in the path. She skidded to stop when she saw him, her eyes going wide. A moment later she lost her balance and fell backwards with a hard thud that he could feel through the soles of his boots.

He stood there for a moment, looking at her, surprised that anyone else was in these woods. Much less a girl. And even less such a pretty girl. Unless she was the fabled witch...which if she was, Jared didn't mind. She wasn't as hard on the eyes as the rumors said. But this was of course if she was the witch.

He shifted the sword behind his back and smiled at the girl, hoping he didn't scare her too much. Or, if she was the witch, she wouldn't be tempted to do something horrible to him. He couldn't imagine what that something might be, but he figured it was best to be polite all around.

"Hello," he said, "You look like you are in some need of assistance. If I may..." he offered a hand towards her, taking a cautious step forward, waiting for her to say something before he came even further. If she was the witch, he would definitely need a head start in getting away from her.

SouthernAngel (sounthernangel) | 104 comments "I-I..." She stuttered looking up at the man's hand. She chewed on her lower lip. "I'm not exactly sure where I am."

She looked down at her feet that were covered in dirt now and then looked around a sudden thought hitting her. She needed to get out of the woods and find somewhere to hide or else the witch would find her for sure.

"How do you get out of the woods? I need to get out here." She said as she looked back up at the man before glancing around really fast.

message 21: by ♠ TABI⁷ ♠ (new)

♠ TABI⁷ ♠ (tabi_card) "Well, you're in woods," Jared said, looking around quickly and then back at her. "That's pretty easy to figure out. As to what type of woods, you're in The Woods. Home to a most terrible, gruesome witch...or so the stories say," he said with a shrug.

He raised an eyebrow when she asked for his help getting out of the woods. What did she think he was, a simpleton? One didn't just go around offering their help to random strangers. Especially random strangers in this wood.

"And why would I do that?" he asked, "Why would I tell you if I did know a way out?"

He could tell she was desperate in the way she looked around in darting, wary glances. He wondered why.

SouthernAngel (sounthernangel) | 104 comments Maia swallowed hard when he mentioned the witch, though he didn't seem to believe she was actually real.

"I have to get out of these woods or she's going to find me and lock me back up. at least point me in the right direction. Please! She's going to kill me!" Maia begged glancing around again.

♠ TABI⁷ ♠ (tabi_card) ((Sorry it has taken me so long to reply to this!!! My wifi should be fixed in 2 weeks. I promise i'm normally not this absent. I know how annoying it is where the one person just disappears and i'm trying to reply but it's hard because my wifi is on the fritz so please bear with me being MIA until it's fixed...))

"Hold on, who's going to find you?" Jared asked. He buckled the sword around his waist to get his hands free, and then folded his arms over his chest as he looked at her.

She seemed really desperate and scared about something, but she just really looked crazy more than anything. Guess that would be the only type of people he would meet in the Woods, he thought wryly, crazies and of course the witch.

Wait...the witch. That couldn't be who the girl was talking about, could it?

SouthernAngel (sounthernangel) | 104 comments (((No problem, I've been sick as a dog and then busy as all get out lately. :P))

Maia swallowed as she backed up a little as he crossed his arms. She bit her lower lip as she thought whether or not she should tell him the witch was after her. If he didn't believe she was real then he would think she was crazy and leave her here.

"Please, just point me in the right direction and I'll get out of your hair. I'm begging you." She said shaking a little bit.

♠ TABI⁷ ♠ (tabi_card) ((Yep yep I feel ya. I'm working on revising a novel and then submitting to agents, so I'm up to my neck in writing work, which I love, but also gives me less time for my "fun" time such as RP so yeah ;) And then on top of that I've got school as well, so double bonus :P haha))

"Well if you run long enough, any direction is the right direction out of here," he said with a slight smirk. "Just depends on how long you want to stay in the forest before you get out of it."

She seemed pretty well scared, but he wasn't naive and so he would wait until she told him what she was running from before he offered any valid help. It was more the situation than anything else, anywhere else he would have helped her almost immediately. But he'd never met anyone else in the forest, and so he was on his guard.

SouthernAngel (sounthernangel) | 104 comments (((Always hectic. I'd love to publish the book I've done, I've just got to get it edited and then submit it. But I don't know where to submit it and I don't have the time right now to go through and edit it because I'm trying to finish school and getting ready to move. :S )))

"And by the time I manage to find my way out of here she'll have caught me and locked me back in that tower and probably killed me." She huffed quietly as she looked down at the ground then back up at him. "If it'll at least get me a serious answer I'm running from the witch. So please just let me know the fastest way out of these woods."

Maybe if she got to a town she would be able to hide well enough that the witch wouldn't find her. Or she could just keep going and go far enough that the witch wouldn't ever find her. She couldn't leave the woods that often, she always checked up on her at least every other day. So if she left further than a two days ride she would be out of the reach of where the witch normally went. Unless she could go somewhere magically, then Maia was in serious trouble!

message 27: by ♠ TABI⁷ ♠ (new)

♠ TABI⁷ ♠ (tabi_card) ((oooh! And agentquery.com is a good place to start looking for a place to submit :) And oh man yeah moving and school aren't really good for trying to rewrite haha I totally getcha there ;) ))

"Oh," Jared said quietly. He blinked. "I was afraid you'd say that." He sighed, reaching a hand up to run his fingers through his hair as he pondered his choices. He could take the girl with him. Sure, he didn't know her but he'd be labeling himself as a monster if he left anyone here for the witch to get to them. She would slow him down though opening the possibility that the witch could catch both of them.

"All right," he finally said, giving a resigned sigh. "I'll take you out of the wood. But, mind you," he said, pointing a finger at her, "Don't expect me to be slowing down for you or giving you some sort of special treatment."
