added name incorrectly when adding book

When I added the book and my co-author joined, we intended to use our initials to reflect the titles on the book, as A. Payne and N. D. Taylor. Now that she's joined, she's stuck with her full name and would like if it can be repaired. Thank you.

When GR authors join they have two layers of their account. Their regular user account and the GR Author profile that overlays that account. It looks like she's tried to edit her USER account and not the author overlay.

Have her go to her author profile and click on "edit data". This is on the right hand side middle of the author profile box. From there she will be able to edit the data for her author profile.

Librarians can't work with GR author profiles - so if that doesn't work you will need to wait for Rivka to show up or contact GR support.

Thanks! I will try this again but when I tried to change my name it gave me the error message and said only a Librarian could change/edit author info.

"Sorry, only users with librarian status can edit book & author data. If you'd like librarian status, please apply here."

Actually, now there's an issue with my nick, it wont allow me to make edits anymore either to our novel that I posted only yesterday. She's been corrected to A. Payne and I still have N. D. Taylor but it no longer displays me as a goodreads author.

Makes a ton of sense! Ok, It won't let me change it to N.D. without a space either in my author profile. Presumably because of that.
