Tabitha Ormiston-Smith | 32 comments The cover image of my book has gone back to the old default Amazon one. The cover image of the ebook should be the same as that for the paperback. I have no idea how to fix it or how this could have happened. Can someone help me please?

Please no abuse. It's a fair question asked in good faith.

message 3: by Tabitha (new) - added it

Tabitha Ormiston-Smith | 32 comments Yes it was, a long time ago. It was my first published book and I didn't know what I was doing. There are 3 editions on Goodreads, two ebooks and one paperback. But the only cover under which the ebook is sold now is the same as the paperback cover, and that one has disappeared from Goodreads :(

Ren | 688 comments From the book's librarian notes:
20-Nov-2013: Deletion of green cover reverted. NB: Against GR policy to overwrite or delete original book data/covers. Such constitutes vandalism of database.

See here for how to add an alternate cover:
https://www.goodreads.com/librarian_m...
(as an author, then you'll be able to set the alternate cover edition as the default one)

Tabitha Ormiston-Smith | 32 comments Ren thank you so much. How did you see those notes? I didn't see them :)

message 6: by Ren (new)

Ren | 688 comments Librarians can see those when attempting to edit the book's page.

Tabitha Ormiston-Smith | 32 comments I must say I think it would have been nice of this person to drop me a line to let me know he was destroying my book's appearance. Just as a courtesy, sort of thing. I could have added the alternate cover back then.

Banjomike | 5166 comments I've upgraded the green cover to a larger one without the Amazon arrow.

This is the procedure for setting the default edition of a book:
i) Go to the book page of the edition you wish to become the default/primary edition.
ii) Click "edit details" below the book's description.
iii) On the right side of the page about halfway down, click "Set this book as the primary edition for this work".
iv) Click "Save Changes"

Tabitha Ormiston-Smith | 32 comments Thank you so much for this Banjomike :) Sorry I am so stupid about it all; for some reason I find Goodreads extraordinarily difficult.
