Susan Well, Carroll, you've already got the music. :)
I've done three book trailers, and one trailer for an historic CD by a woman trumpeter.

They're fun to do, but they do take time to get them right ... or maybe I'm just a perfectionist. :)

Alpha (janomega) | 33 comments Hello everyone! My name is Jan-Michael but I go by the pen name The Alpha Jan which was given to me based off the concept of "beginnings" ("Alpha" in the Bible is the beginning thus the quote, "I am the alpha and omega," and Jan - being the first part of my first name - is also the abbreviation for the first month of the year.)

I am a writer previously for a website known as ICE but now work as executive editor for Console Alliance. I have two published books and working on my third. I read everything from chick-lit, transgressional, thriller, philosophical, classics, and many other genres in between. My writing style is the same way thus I no longer seem to write traditionally which may result in some confusion and unpopularity yet Anarchists LOVE my writing. Think of Aldous Huxley mixed in with J.G. Ballard and Chuck Palahniuk.

I look forward to knowing all of you. I do a lot of messaging since I believe more so in personal interaction. Finally, cannot wait to buy the Nook Tablet.

Rebecca Zanetti Hi All! My name is Rebecca Zanetti and I'm really happy to be a part of this group. I'm an author and a definite reader.

Right now I'm looking for something new to read and I'm not sure what. I'm in the mood for something contemporary--maybe funny--maybe mysterious. (Not at all what I write). I'm a college professor and we're heading into projects/finals soon, so I wouldn't mind leaving reality for a bit.

Nice to meet everyone!

Welcome everyone! It's so exciting to see so many new book lovers popping in!

I think Doctor Who rocks! (Even if Matt Smith isn't as great as David Tennant)

Amber Marie Pettit (sweetestfeline) | 26 comments Hiya! My name is Amber and I am a Paranormal Romance writer (currently unpublished; will change soon enough). I am currently working on 3 books all in the same series, though one is book 1 of a consecutive series within the main series (Think Moning style). I am also a freakishly avid reader. I cannot get enough. There isn't many times where you cannot catch me either in front of a computer writing a book or having my nose in one. I am always looking for new material to read in all genres and I am happy to check out the creations of up and coming authors like myself. Thanks for having me!

message 1039: by Zi (new)

Zi (thebookishgamer) | 24 comments Hello, joined yesterday, but didn't have time to introduce myself! I love books, but only started reading again recently... My reading suffered when I became a serious gamer lol. But I'm determined to keep up with reading, since I used to read constantly.

I'm also a writer. I wrote a book called Tales of Pixie the Cat, it's a cute book of short stories. You can find it on Amazon.

I'd participate in those group reads, but seeing as how many books I need to read on my shelf and lack of easy transportation to the library, I'll wait until a book I own shows up. I own way too many unread books! It totals around 80, in various different genres. I like to read almost any genre.

message 1046: by Athanasios (new)

Athanasios (athanos) Howdy everybody. I wanted to tell everyone who doesn't already know, about my two literary efforts Mad Gods & it's most recent sequel, Commitment. They're both well represented at my webpage: www.mad-gods.com and are available @:

Mad Gods:
description
The Antichrist lives. He is wanted dead or alive by Satanists, the Catholic Church and the Dark Nobility.

Kostadino must save him or let the world turn into hell on earth.
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004QOA768
https://www.smashwords.com/books/view...

Commitment:
description
Adam watched Mad Gods drag his father to Hell.

Melusine Rothschild, Grande Dame of the Black Nobility wants to raise him. She is part of the World Elite that live by Predatory Ethics and seek to guide him in wielding the power and influence of his dark birthright.

Adam, the teenage Antichrist/AntiXos, wants none of this. He watches his TV shows in one of Danvers Mental Hospital's nice padded rooms, snugly dressed in his own long sleeved, buckled, canvas jacket. He feels safe here away from a hostile, ravaging outside world.

He's horribly wrong.
