Thanks ladies. It’s a visual read. :) I love knowing that you’re experiencing something that was once in my heart and mind. It’s a great feeling to be appreciated. Thanks for your kind words.

Hey, whatever it takes to get the book in your hands… :) I’m just psyched I get to share this with the world!View the Book Trailer…
Hey, I just made a goodreads account. No particular reason, really. I don't have any friends who would do this so I figured I'd come here.... Reading is a fairly new hobby for me, as I've only REALLY started getting into it about 4 years ago. So yeah, hi!

Hi, I'm Faye. I'm completely new to this site but really enjoying it at the moment. It's good to be amongst so many people who love reading as much as I do! Feel free to add and talk =] I love reading many different genres, loving P.G Wodehouse at the moment.

Thanks for the welcome! I mostly read fantasy and fiction. I've dipped my hand in philosophy too. I'm looking to read other stuff and maybe expand a bit.
That sounds great. I have no idea how to make this sound like I’m not trying to pitch my book to you. So, I guess I won’t try. I just finished writing a dark, philosophical novel, Unnatural Truth. View the trailer
I’d love to hear what you think since it sounds right up your alley.

An absolutely brilliant introduction to all areas of philosophy with a really good story line behind it. I'd recommend it to anyone but if you have a particular interest in philosophy then it might just suit you.
I just read the Publisher’s Weekly review on Sophie’s World. That sounds really good. I think I may check it out too…

However, I'm definitely going to have to read it again. There's just too much information to take in in one read.
If you like that kind of book definitely check out Unnatural Truth. I will check out Sophie's World. Thanks for the recommendation.
Hi all, I'm Dave - I'm slowly getting into Good reads discussions. I read a lot of fantasy but am trying to broaden my horizons a bit with more classics and thrillers. And as you'll see from my book list I read far to much Doctor Who!!

Welcome Dave!
Hello from New Jersey. I joined Good Reads in January 2011 and was and still am thrilled to find so many kindred spirits! I've been addicted to books since I learned how to read. I'm currently reading Death on Demand and The Flame Trees of Thika: Memories of an African Childhood. About the only thing I don't read are technical books and lite romances. Out grew the romances when I started reading Rex Stout, Agatha Christie and Francis Parkinson Keyes.
Dave wrote: "And as you'll see from my book list I read far to much Doctor Who!!"Not that there's anything wrong with that ...
(I have a similar problem, but I think I can say that Dave's got it worse than I, as I have confined myself to the original Target novels, and Dave reads the newer stuff as well.)
Hi Dave!
Welcome to all the new folks!
There is no such thing as too much Dr. Who *grins*Dave wrote: "Hi all, I'm Dave - I'm slowly getting into Good reads discussions. I read a lot of fantasy but am trying to broaden my horizons a bit with more classics and thrillers.

Yes I have a problem :p (apparently the first step is to admit it) but I do try to limit the new books to those that really interest me. If I read everything that's published these days I'd never read anything else.
I've had bad experiences with a couple of the newer non-novelization books. Bad, as in really, really bad, and nigh unreadable.
The worst offender was an author I generally like, Michael Moorcock, who seemed to have taken one of his own books, and crossed out two character's names and filled in "The Doctor" and "Amy." Doctor Who: Coming of the Terraphiles reads like a bad acid flashback.

Yes I was particularly disappointed in the Moorcock. one. I have found a few good ones through - the
Doctor Who: The Eyeless is particularly good.
Hi there (:I'm Laerke, and I read a lot of YA and fantasy, but actually, if the book is good, the genre doesn't really matter to me.
Hello - My name is Judy and I am new to GR. Loving this site and getting so many great books on my "to read" list. I like most genres and look forward to chatting books :)
Just joined from a link from a different group.I am a teen, and I love reading and reviewing all kinds of books (except nonfiction)! This looks like a cool group :)
Hello,My name is Greg. I am a reader of speculative fiction mainly though I do off-shoot into literary and European fiction as well i.e. George Orwell, Bruno Schulz, Kafka and Samuel Beckett.
Hello to all from Southern CaliforniaI am so looking forward to the discussions.
I read all genre and form of books, depending on my mood of course. :)
Hello I am Ashley, from Indiana. I enjoy reading in all types of genres. It really just depends on my mood. Currently I'm stuck in the YA area. I'm reading The Forest of Hands and Teeth currently. :)
Hey! I'm Lisa and have a book addiction. I love pretty much all genres, including westerns (read some earlier posts from '09 LOL). Only after I read Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry after seeing the tv mini-series and loved it so much that I had to reread it immediately after finishing it because I didn't have the next book in that series (didn't even know it was a series - well kind of). The books that I love most are the ones that completely absorb me, sweep me away - make me laugh, cry, sigh - that I hate leaving when finishing.I look forward to discovering new books here and sharing thoughts and comments :)
Hi allI'm new to Goodreads and thought this would be a good place to try and make some new friends!
I recently rediscovered the joy of reading a good book when I got a kindle last fall. I had been an avid reader in my younger years, but kind of got away from it when other aspects of life took over ... getting married, work, you know the scoop.
Anyway, I missed reading and I was intrigued by the kindle, so I got one. I love it and have been reading one book after another ever since! I like science fiction, westerns, mystery/thrillers, and general action adventure type books. I'll read the odd biography as well, but not too often.
I don't have facebook etc, so I'm looking forward to getting to know some of you as we converse and hear recommendations on other good books! Thanks.
*waves* I was invited to join this group (thanks by the way!) and thought it looked fun so I joined. :)I read a ton of different genres so I think I will fit right in. :)
I also have a blog where I do book reviews if anyone wants to check it out.
