Hi everyone! I LOVE to read, a trait I happily passed on to my daughter. I do a lot of audio books because I spend a lot of time driving and I take my Nook everywhere.
I like to read across the genres. My favorite, for as long as I can remember, has always been sci-fi/fantasy. Robert Jordan, David Eddings, Frank Herbert and Douglas Adams are some of my favorites.
The Twilight Saga started my trek into the paranormal romance genre, which has led me to love J.R. Ward, Christine Feehan and am now venturing into the Sherrilyn Kenyon world.
I also enjoy the contemporary romance world. Here Nora Roberts, Jennifer Crusie, Mary Kay Adams and danille Steele are the top of my lists.
I LOVE GR because for me it is a catch all of what I have read, what I want to read, and a great way to find new books of interest.

Hello Shell! I must agree that I am just like you in the sense that we both read several books at a time! In the summer though,I try to relax and focus on one book at a time,but that usually doesn't happen.:P

I have a 2 year old, so I can't really relax and focus, but I find having more than 1 book going keeps me interested in a variety of different things.

Hello everyone, I just found this really nice goodreads app and this group. I purchased a nook color last month and can't put it down, havnt read a book in years and now I've read 4 books in less than a month. The first book on my nook was by Victoria Laurie and now I'm hooked. On her fifth book now. She mixes psychic powers with a good mystery. Looking forward to meeting lots of happy readers here.

Hello Michaela, The color nook is awsome. It's through Barnes and Noble, every Friday they post a free book for download. Nice books, nice variety, tons of free books on their site, lots of sales. I can also download books from other sites such as Amazon and the library onto the computer, then you can sideload them onto the nook. And now they have apps and games for it. Love it. Any questions about it, feel free to ask. : )

Yeah,that's why I'm considering a nook over the Amazon kindle,because I've had too many problems with Amazon orders and downloads.So,having it connected to my favorite bookstore is definately a plus.

Hopefully I'll be buying one later this year.Essentially I'm more of printed-paper-books kind of girl,but the nook sounds like a great option for vacations.Plus it can help me for quickly obtaining books for certain classes when I need to.

Hi All, My name is Marteen from London, England. I am new to goodreads and have no friends on here (someone be my friend) so I decided to make a start by joining a few groups. I havent the widest variety of books and have only just got back in the swing of reading again.
