Angela Goodnight (angela_goodnight) | 10 comments Sorry to be a bother. I am still trying to get to grips with how Goodreads works. Both I and my partner, Peter Stone write books, but all the uploading and publishing work is organised by me, so Peter only has an email address.

What I need to know is (1) whether I should set Peter up as a separate author account and then re-author works showing as me to him. (2) Some of our books are both ebooks and paperbacks. Should they be shown separately and, if not, how should I show that they are available as either.

Once again sorry for my ignorance ... we're silver surfer authors!

Scott | 9683 comments You both can have author accounts and should both appear on the books you co-wrote (as separate names). Your names should be listed in the order they appear on the books.

Different formats are to be combined for the work but appear as different items are far as the edition, so that people can mark the one(s) they've read.

Angela Goodnight (angela_goodnight) | 10 comments I tried to log out to then set up an account for Peter as an author but you also logged me out of facebook which is a nuisance. However, from the logged out screen I selected Goodreads Home, but you then logged me back in.

So, how do I set up an account for Peter and not get logged out of facebook at the sane time. Peter does not have a facebook account.

Angela Goodnight (angela_goodnight) | 10 comments My Inbox says Scott answered this but I can't see the answer on the thread. I'll check back later.

Scott | 9683 comments I don't know why it would log you out of Facebook if you only log out of Goodreads. If you are using the same browser, I guess you will just have to alternate. The Facebook login is pretty fast and easy.

Angela Goodnight (angela_goodnight) | 10 comments The trouble is that I can't log out of Goodreads. If I do then it shows a screen which says I'm logged out, but then when I try to get back in to set up a new Author account it logs me back in automatically so can I set up Peter's author account while I'm logged in as my account? I don't see any other way I can do it. Sorry, I know this is probably stupidity, but I seem to be stuck.

Angela Goodnight (angela_goodnight) | 10 comments I just tried going to goodreads.com in the Safari browser and as soon as Goodreads loaded it logged me in as me again even though I've never used Safari for Goodreads before.

Leigh Lane (leighmlane) | 21 comments Angela, clear your cookies and you should be logged out for good.

Angela Goodnight (angela_goodnight) | 10 comments But what do I do then. I can't have to do this every time I switch from Peter's account to mine or I'll never be able to do any promotions etc. I'm scared to clear my cookies, what about all of the other sites who have cookies on my machine that I need. This worries me. I am not an IT individual I'm a 64 year old author. Is there any other way of setting up the account for Peter?
