Need to find a new book to read?

Have you read a book that you would recommend to anyone looking to pick up a great read?

The Community Bookshelf is now open! You can find the link in the upper right hand portion of the group page. Please feel free to add any books that you have enjoyed and would recommend to others.

Amberle Husbands | 12 comments I added Surreal South: An Anthology of Short Fiction and Poetry to the group's bookshelf. Some of these stories were admittedly a little hard to get through, and some were just plain unreadable. But, the rest were pure gold. I highly, highly, highly recommend 'Dog Song', by Ann Pancake. I've got the next three volumes of the anthology, too, but haven't gotten around to them, yet. Lazy, lazy me...

Amberle Husbands | 12 comments I'm also adding The Curiosity: A Novel, by Stephen P. Kiernan. I just finished it last week, and found it to be much more substantial than the flood of typical love-story novels that show up just in time summer reading. Mostly, it reminded me of a cross between Written on the Body and Frankenstein, which was strange but also terribly beautiful.
