@Mei Exactly! I thought it was like chicklit and light romance etc. Least I am not the only one! @Sarah Yeah, it definitely is. :)
Hey guys, this is just some info to help you to work out if a cover counts for a 'colour' square -
Coloured covers - covers need to be 60% or more of one colour to count. Imagine that you are asked to draw a line around the coloured areas on the book - do they cover the majority of the book? please ask for confirmation if you are unsure at all.
blue covers - teardrop vs throne of glass
= more than 60% blue
= less than 60% blue

I would say that its a bit too dark to really be blue, the only bits that look really blue are these bits -

and there isn't really enough blue for it to count as 60% really.

You could use it for Paranormal, Strong main character, Dystopian, and buddy (if buddy read) :)
The people on cover square has to be 2 people or more. :)You could use that as 350+ pages, and paranormal, though.

can be flower on the cover.. there's a little one on the left lol"
Yep :)
Christina wrote: "Just wanted to confirm if A Monster Calls..."Oh I love this book, great choice Christina :D but I never saw it with this cover. My copy is the one with the monster on it, your copy is pretty, though :)
@RachmiActually I have a library copy with the monster on it...LOL But I wondered if there was another edition and I saw there was a flower so I wanted to do it for the flower block :P
Tatiana wrote: "I have a question: if I complete a line, do I have to say so?"No, i tick them off, so i know when you get a line. :)
I have each participants name written down, with their grid below it. Then i cross the description out when the review for that block is submitted. :)
Would The Lost Child of Philomena Lee: A Mother, Her Son and A Fifty-Year Search count for title starts with your initial? If you don't count "The" it would start with my initial but I'm not sure if I'm supposed to count that or not.
Normally in challenges (Like the festive spelling) you don;t have to count the "The" but since you only have to take the title into account for one block, it would be a bit easy.So for this one, it would have to start with "L" sorry. :(
Do we get updates on the outstanding score or is it a surprise to the end? (unless we take the effort ourselves to calculate hehe)
Christina wrote: "Do we get updates on the outstanding score or is it a surprise to the end? (unless we take the effort ourselves to calculate hehe)"I can't do an update on the points, because the bonus points for the lines can't be added until the challenge is over. :)
Question regarding the buddy block - do you get 1 point for doing the block as well as another point for buddying it? ty
Rachmi wrote: "Should I tell in the reviews thread when I finish one line?"
No, you don't have to say, Abbie is keeping track ☺

As far as I'm aware it's the same as all the other blocks - one point for the review, and 1 point for the buddy read.

Okay, then. It might not be a big deal but I'm happy I can finally finish one line :D
Thanks Sarah!

Well done! I've been trying to do lines too, but sometimes you just end up with squares all over the place and no full lines!

Hehehe, yes exactly!I read three or four books in buddy read but then realize that it couldn't make a full lines :D So I have to read another books to make it a line :)

Yep. You don't actually get a point for the block.
You get one point for a review (but the review submitted won't count unless it can count for a square you haven't already gotten) and one for the buddy.
Then you get 5 bonus points for each line you can make. :)
If anyone is struggling to remember what blocks they have already gotten, or what lines they have / almost have, feel free to PM me about it. :)
@Abbie Thanks. I have drawn myself a little gird for me to tick off. Two more books and I'll have two lines compelted! Yayy! :)
@Abbie Thanks! :P Just wondering if I am reading this book
with this cover
can I count it for the "dress on cover" block since two other editions (
+
) have dresses on?? :)
Rachel wrote: "@Abbie Thanks! :P Just wondering if I am reading this book
