SOLVED. novel set near Maple Syrup Sugar Farms Hiding Identity [s]

The book is about a woman hiding from her past / crimes set in a small town set near maple syrup farms maybe near Vermont? - it has several story lines including this woman's hidden past, helping the maple syrup farmers tap the maple in time, an evolving love story. I think it was published around 2006/2007 I remember the cover was yellow like it had sunflowers on it? For some reason I think the lead character had a unisex name and she had long dark hair. Anyway would love to read it again if you can help me remember the name. Thanks so much.
