Desolation of Smaug much more fun then first part?

Seemed like this installment was about a hundred times more enjoyable then the first movie. I loved the hot new Killi! Smaug was amazing. Is it weird if I thought Smaug was sexy?
Too many things that I took for granted as a kid, bothered me.
This installment was much more alive. Not so dry and dusty.

IMO Tauriel was sexy.

To your point though, there was definitely more action, and movie as a hole was quite fast paced. I enjoyed it much more than the first part, as well.

It was totally more fun. Action packed roller coaster! But I like the coziness of the first film too. Definitely a must see for the IMAX!

Absolutely. It was way more engaging, due in huge part to Tauriel, the new She-Elf Jackson decided to implement and the story-line she brings with her.

The action was more immediate and it wasn't brainless because all of the fights advanced the story. Evangeline Lilly was a perfect choice to play an elf period. She looked the part, sounded the part and transcended the part. I would watch it again, something I can't say for part one...
