Carl Brookins The draw of this book is not the plot, unfortunately, but is the tour of Chicago--if it is accurate. Simple common errors may call into question the other facts in the book. 1)Gasoline is heavy and not easily transported in large quantities. 2)Tarmac was invented in 1901. It's an asphalt/macadam mix used on roadways. It hasn't been used on airport runways for decades. It doesn't hold up, under heavy modern aircraft use. 3)Cement is a component of concrete. a binder. It has no inherent strength and cannot be used by itself to construct anything, much less a ceiling in a parking garage. What other errors diid I miss in the novel?
