I only read the first 3 chapters and Maddy is kinda weird, the way she flirted with that older guy. Wonder if that's the only think she wants to achieve with that pretty face of hers... a secure life.

Also, is Jill 20 years old or did I misinterpret the first chapter?

How fast will you be with this read? I would like to finish some of my other books, so I hope not too fast ^^.

So, it looks like you didn't like Mandy that much. so far, between the 2 I like Mandy a little more. Jill is so judgmental.
(view spoiler)[I mean, how she got so upset because her mom bought Mandy some close, really, acting like a jealous teenager. I understand why she acts like that, but she's still annoying and annoying everyone around her because she's sad. My father died when I was in 10th grade, so I was around her age when it happened. For a very long time I was in denial and couldn't understand how that could have happened. He died of a cerebral attach and that usually happens to people who eat too much fat, but it was not my father's case at all, he eat healthy, had a healthy life so all this was more than unexpected for us. When this happened my mother was devastated and I can't imagine saying no to anything she asked. I knew that from that day on we had to rely on each other and to make each other happy. I can't believe anyone would choose to act so shitty toward a loving parent. I also wanted to push everyone away and to be lonely and miserable, but what would have that accomplished? Also, it's not like her father died a few weeks ago. She's being suborn and insists on being miserable. And you know why? Because she's spoiled. She's used to always get and never give and I just can't stop blaming her for that. And you can't just throw that "you don't know until you've been there" thing in my face, because I had. The only difference between me and Jill is that I didn't have the same financial luxury she has. I'm only middle class, her family seems to be going toward rich. I really hope she would grow up already and just realize how much her mother needs her right now. So yeah, really long rant: THE END.
Also, I'm upset that she wants Ravi, but is still with Dylan. What kind of girl does that? Not a nice one.
Mandy on the other hand is much more mature. Naive and silly as she sounds she does try to do her best. And I admire that at her, that she wants a better life for her baby, for herself. And I can't blame her for wanting to be loved, even if she doesn't have the right approach in order to get it. She was never educated any better by the person who raised her. (hide spoiler)]

Jill was a bit spoiled. Her chapters were really hard to read because she was so angry about everything all the time.

I've been screwed so much by life that I find nothing more beautiful than to get back on your feet after a tragedy, or a hardship of any kind. And I love books like this because they help me think optimistic. Like, yeah, shit happens, but as long as you're alive you have a duty to find happiness.

Will you still comment here and there on my observations? Even if you did finish the book? XD

(view spoiler)[The characters have started to grow on me. I'm still annoyed on Jill for being so clueless about her own feelings and alway sabotaging herself. I really do hope she ends up with Ravi. I think Dylan is an ok guy, but not what she really needs. I'm also scared for Maddy right now. I think that if she told Robin she wanted to live with her she would agree, but she's too scared to hope for the best and just be honest about her feelings. I feel really sorry for her. I do hope she gets a happy ending as well. People like her rarely do. :( (hide spoiler)]
