I really enjoyed it Mari. I loved the setting, characters and story. Suffice it to say it received a very high rating from me.

Quite a mixed bag on the reviews - I read through them all. Looks like one of those Love it or Hate it books, even from those few that I follow. Let us know, Mari. :)

Yes, you and Chrissie were definately in the 'Love it' camp, Roz. :)
A lot of folks in the group have flagged it TBR.
It is getting to be more and more of a challenge for me to be more selective to what I add to my list because it is so huge already. I will probably cave and add it anyway, but I will let Mari make up my mind for me. :)

I have both of these on my TBR list. I even stopped to look up Cat's Cradle because the title seems so familiar. When I look at the summary though, nothing comes back to me. There have been a lot of Vonnegut titles going around lately and I may (almost) know The Big Sleep from the movie too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S86fc... - look - they are in a library!!!!

It would have counted as a chunkster if I had just finished the Stand first, because that is the last of my Slugs, but I just HAD to start a new book!
I'm enjoying it very much, it's by a Swiss writer, but set in New Hampshire and the characters are all American.

Added to my wishlist - sounds great. After reading The Shadow of the Wind recently it piqued my interest in that period of Spanish history again.

Added to my TBR list. At this rate, I am going to have to start a Spain bookshelf. I keep going back there.

Your next Around the World challenge will be in Spain! :)

I am also well over halfway through The Enchanted which is pretty incredible so far.

I started on the next one on the list which is The Lowland, which appears to be much more straightforwardly written, but I can already tell I am going to like it.
I'm also reading the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson for the chunky challenge, on the side. I'm on the third book The Hero of Ages - I love this series SO MUCH

Hero of ages wraps things up nicely I felt.
Also don't leave out the in the future mist born fun read of The Alloy of Law

Everyone says that they felt the same, Travis, it's nice to hear he wraps things up. I am looking forward to getting my hands on The Alloy of Law - I believe that is becoming a series in it's own right? Sanderson is certainly a prolific writer!

I am now starting My Cousin Rachel which I have been wanting to read for ages!

Me too, me too, so I just went and bought it from B&N. I am downloading it onto my Nook now.
I am still reading/listening to Middlesex. I almost don't want it to end. It has been a facinating story and the audio book version I am listening to has been so good.
I am also reading The Shadow of the Wind. Just into chapter 6 so far.

Also wanted to let y'all know why I've been absent for the past weeks - I fractured my right hip - my good leg - March 8th! Have been in hospital to recover after they had to operate and to Rehab. =(

Now that I'm out of hospital - yes =)

I will let you know Cherie. I think I will be done towards the end of next week. Right now I'm mixed on my feelings about the book.

I have replaced it with The Cabinet of Curiosities which is on my chunkster challenge. Interestingly enough, this book follows Thunderhead which isn't part of the series and considered a stand alone. Cabinets has two characters (Nora Kelly and Bill Smithback) from Thunderhead with several mentions of their Utah expedition. I'm glad I read Thunderhead before this one. I guess it wasn't considered part of the series because Pendergast wasn't in it.

For my first chunkster in Mickey's Marchers, I downloaded the audio version of The Darwin Elevator. This one is also for my May Australia read in AtW, but I haven't started listening yet.
Still slowly listening to The Good Earth and making my way through The Shadow of the Wind behind everyone else who read it for the Library book challenge. Hmm, that reminds me that I have not posted my book for that one yet. Still have to get my pictures into photobucket and remember how to link them.
