2014 New Year 'Reading' Resolutions
Hannelore wrote: "I'll try to read some "classics" like Lord of the rings series, finish Narnia & Harry Potter, read Games of thrones,..."One of my 2014 reading resolutions is read more fantasy and classic books. And that's including Game of Thrones series. If you want to read it, I would like to buddy read it with you.

join us!
I also want to read more classic lit, like The Time Traveller, To Kill a Mockingbird, etc. I hope I can read the whole Harry Potter series! I've watched all the movies (most of them even in the cinemas). Our school library has most of the books so I can't wait!
I also want to complete the Percy Jackson series.
Percy Jackson is one of my favorite series! You should read it! The 5th book wasn't a disappointment. :)
@Sarah Good gracious, 9000?? I don't think you will EVER be able to get through all of those! But if you every want to buddy read some, feel free to let me know. I have a few already planned. Do you have: Vampire University, Significance, Scarlet Dagger, Drip Drop Teardrop, Angels of Knights, Ignite, Turned, Just Breathe, Unenchanted, Madly, Prince of Wolves or Goddess Legacy. Because I have buddy reads organised for all of them so far if you want to join us. :))
I think I have most of those ☺ have read scarlet dagger and it was pretty good, just waiting for book 2 to be free now!
Tayla wrote: ":O you need to read infernal devices! They were my all time favorite "I don't really have a good reading experience with Cassandra Clare, LOL. I didn't like City of Bones. I think what's holding me back from reading Infernal Devices is because it's long. And I've read Clockwork Angel in May 2013 so I may have forgotten some details and I don't want to reread Clockwork Angel again :/
Rachmi wrote: "9000? my goodness....did you have it just from Amazon or some where else?"
Amazon and smashwords. I can't resist a freebie ☺

Add it with ebooks that you bought and ARC from NetGalley and Edelweiss. How many ebooks do you have? Countless? :)
@Sarah Well, feel free to join us then. If you want to! I have heard lots about Scarlet Dagger. Its supposed to be really good and I am eager to read it. Oh, isn't annoying when only the first book is free. I find it very annoying when its good book and then you have to buy the rest of the series.

I don't like spending too much if I can manage it. I like buying books second hand when they're cheap, so I usually wait for ebooks to drop to 99p or less before I buy them. Some of them never drop though :(

@Sarah Yeah same! I have never bought an ebook for more than 99 cents before. Don't find them worth it for most anyway. Yeah, the really popular authors have their ebooks really expensive which is pretty ridiculous. Who spends $9 on an ebook?? :))

Most people feel faint when I tell them how many books I have on my cloud! At least that keeps track for me though, I have no idea how many hardbacks/paperbacks I have. Let's just say that there is a desk buried under the pile of books in our 3rd bedroom!
According to Amazon I have.... (it takes it a while to count them all).....15645 items in my kindle library. Oops, looks like I gained a few since I last checked ☺

@Sarah Wow, three and 15645?? How of them have you actually read?? :)) Well, at least you will never get bored of anything! :))@Tatiana You can write "free books" or even things "free paranormal romance" or "free fantasy" into the Amazon search browser (making sure it on the "kindle store" tab) and a list will come up but there isn't a specific page for them.
Hahaha, you're amazing, Sarah. I think I have tons ebooks on my dropbox but I never bother to check how many are they :DI can't access Amazon from my country so I only get freebie from Smashwords but not all of them I downloaded, only books that interested me that I downloaded.
I used to be able to sit and download about 200 freebies a day when I first got my kindle, I don't get as many anymore though as I tend to be busy doing other stuff ☺
Tatiana - I just do a search on amazon for a genre of books, so say 'paranormal romance' and search the kindle store. Then I click the tab at the top left of the list to sort by 'price: low to high' and then all the freebies come up first ☺

@Sarah That's what i did when I first got my kindle! I spent months and months reading freebies and not spending a cent. I thought it was so good. :))
Yep ☺ It's a great way to do it, because sometimes you find authors who are so good that you really do want to buy their future books! I've got a couple of authors now whose books i buy the day they're released because I know they'll be awsome! I love
There's also this way:If you go to the amazon logo, it'll come up with a menu. Go to kindle, then "kindle books"
Scroll down to where it says "Best selling books in featured categories"
The click on whatever you want to check out.
It'l come up as "top 100 paid" and "Top 100 free"
The only YA one they have on that page, is "childrens and Ya" but if you want YA only, click on any random category.
On the left it will say "Any deparment" "kindle store" "books" click books, then scroll down to "Teen and young adult" and you'll get the top 100 list for that. :)
They change every hour, so there's always new ones being added.
@Sarah I agree. Its is a great way to find new author. And thanks, just downloaded both of their free books! :))
@Sarah Its $3.56 at the moment. But the first 3 books are out for 88 cents so I might get them. Thanks, I'll keep my eye out. :))
@Sarah, I've read book 1 of The Last Year and planned to finish the series this year. To be honest, I read it because of you! and the gorgeous covers, of course :D But I never read books from Cidney Swanson before.
I really loved the last year series. Have to say that I'm slightly worried about the new series she has coming out though cause i think it's historical! I really liked saving mars and the rest of the series.I still need to read book 4!
Rachmi wrote: "Oh, I love historical fiction. I think I better keep my eyes on her new series, then :)"Have you read
? This one broke my heart. :(
It really was. It's rare for a book to get me crying as much as this one did. Two shockers about this book:
I got it from my library
I rated it 5 stars
Haha.
@Abbie, I haven't read it yet, though I've already had it. Think I need to read it within this year? :)
Rachmi wrote: "@Abbie, I haven't read it yet, though I've already had it. Think I need to read it within this year? :)"Well, i rated it 5 stars which is very rare for me, haha.
Defiantly have a box of tissues, and chocolate when you read it though.
Savannah wrote: "My reading resolution is to finish all the books I have before starting on new onesss. I find it so annoying that I have so much unfinished books in my house :p"
Do you mean books that you're already part-way through reading? Or books that you own but haven't read yet?

Oh dear. I feel like doing that with the book I'm currently reading. I cannot get to the end quick enough its so boring :(
witches fighting demons. the blurb sounded so good, and people kept telling me it was great. It's really not though :(
Savannah wrote: "salt? I swear... where do these books come from? what's it about?"They come from the depths of hell. :(
who knows. I usually love paranormal but occasionally you just come accross one that sucks. (i won't mention you t*******)
