Am I the only one who hates this book with burning passion?

OK, keep on hating it attention *****s; that's what this shitty thread is all about...I'm off to love the things more, th..."
Please go attend task at hand like licking John Green's feet rather than trolling .
Thanks for keeping this thread active for the past 2 hours!

Brooke how about you stfu and go back to your basement, this thread isn't your alarm clock lol
Ayesha, are you a bot? smh

NO. JK Rowling is a hero. JRR Tolkien is a hero. YOU, sir, are not."
AMEN.

You respect my opinion that I hate TFIOS and then say that I have a bad taste in books. What a hypocrite!

You respect my opinion that I hate TFIOS and then say that I have a bad taste in books. What a hypocrite! Btw, I'm only replying to those who have provoked me not to those who simply have different opinions than me.

Ayesha clearly doesn't understand you (that bot mixing up things just to call you a hypocrite)...of course

If you really want to read a good book that has quite the same story line but WAY better - please read Turks Fruit (translated Turkish delight) from Jan Wolkers. That book is a classic lovestory that really made me burst into tears. That book has it all: it's beautifully written, it's challenging, it's great.

Wtf?
You father this thread now? What are you? Kim Jong Un? o_o

Apparently I did, yes. I never said that I hated the book. It was all the commotion around the book that made me think that this was "the book that would totally change my view on the whole world and leave me broken with tears running down my cheeks 24/7 while reading it." And that's the part I really, really disliked about it because that never happened.
The whole book was okay.

Wtf?

Som, again, read what I wrote. :..."
So? They're voicing their opinions as frustration cause they see one of their best loved books is being abused to smithereens, while this hateful thread being the most popular one over the interwebs.....you made your point for the millionth time already ffs. You can't get respect for it anymore if you wont acknowledge others coming here defending it, venting about it or even trying...
How you're any special by saying shit like... "People should stop coming here, make their point politely then start screaming, "NO YOU'RE WRONG. YOU SHOULDN'T DO THIS"...??
Kim Jong...grow up already...

Exactly lol
Aly, that time of the month? Go kill a stray cat, maybe that will calm you down...

I enjoyed this book, and it doesn't matter to me who does or doesn't. I think it's interesting to hear other people's opinions. There are times it makes me see things I didn't see during my own read.
But the comment you made above makes it impossible to take anything you say seriously.

Spot on... :)

Really? You come here and shove your opinions down our throats and suggest that we are wrong to hate this book shows me how much you respect other's opinions. I have a lovely life, thank you very much and I have 0 interest in arguing with narrow minded, hypocritical trolls like you . If you can fangirl over this book then I get the rights to express my dislike over it as I wish. I have never argued with anyone with differing opinions, all I'm doing is defending me and Aly from dogmatic fangirls like you. Go read more books and improve your critical thinking skills. Thanks!

@Ella- you said in one of your posts that Siobhan didn't like TFiOS because it's YA and aimed at teenagers. First thing- YA can be enjoyed by any age group. Young Adult just means that the protagonists are teenagers. Second thing- If you still really think that this book is only for teenagers, I'll let you know that I did not like this book at all. I gave it 3 stars so that my friends don't stab me for not liking it and giving it 1 star.

Yet you're arguing with her and disrespecting her...define hypocrisy...
And let's be honest...It's not called 'shoving opinions', since clearly you're way far from that. Reckon you got that phrase from a religion thread....
She gets the right to dislike over your dislikes as she wish. So am I. Let's eat snickers and square dance...
Sheesh Aly, you've been here since the first page...liar, it's not 3 months..
Sara, I have been here for last coupla hours, for the first time. So better ask those questions to your fellow hating mates, or even yourself with a different tone. I'll deffo fade away in an hour. Funny, you guys wont, ever...

Emily even remembers who didn't like what, from ancient times...intense...

Shutup. Tfios is shit. The sooner you learn to admit and accept this the better for everyone.
And, once again, shutup.

Of course you rated it 5 stars. You're one of those sad losers who probably cried over Hazel and Augustus who, may I say, are the most annoying characters I have ever had the misfortune to come across in a book.
Wah, wah, wah, keep whining about your precious Tfios and how it changed your perspective of life and how much it means to you, and anyone who doesn't like it is heartless.
Please, I've heard it all before.

Leave? No Kim Jong Un, this aint your f'n bloodlines thread; go be a supreme leader in your foster basement... jerk...
Nimotalai, I highly doubt you got any attention when you were a kid. Either that or you just jumped on the hating bandwagon without even reading it. If you process shit like that so in your point of view, all the haters of this book would kill all the cancer patients if they get a chance. Piss off ...

Um no.
Umm...no.
Ummm....no.
How is it hating if I believe the book is actually shit.
So ummmm..... No.
Go whine about how amazing Tfios is to people who give a shit.
Because trust me, nobody here does.

You are spending months on this, 'sweetie'...it's just a dull Sunday here cause I'm done with my work and don't feel like reading much. But...You, my friend look like the kid who got abandoned...I can be kind enough to be your friend and give you emotional support if you want. Just say 'sorry som' and we'll have a fresh start lol. What do you say? :)

You give enough shit to fight about it (since god knows when)...so ...ummmmmm....yes!
And you don't even know what 'hating' means. Stupid. Think before you type if you have that privilege...

Good.
Bye.
Thanks.
No-one wanted you here in the first place."
I just clicked on your name to see which alien country you're from where they allow that much stupidity lol....Hard to believe you're from UK..

Hard to believe you're from the uk???
Wow.
Okay.
Interesting.
What are you suggesting?
Please put it in words.

If I have that privilege?
Okay.
Interesting.
Please tell me what you are insinuating.
And please. Just. Shutup.
You obviously have no life.
Having a conversation with you is causing my brain cells to die at a much faster rate.

Dying with laughter over the unintended irony of 'this thread is too long' *repeat for the next five messages with nothing of value to add*
But hey, other people who wish to discuss the ridiculousness of the book! Hello, people with an eye for analysing literature!
Som wrote: "Brooke how about you stfu and go back to your basement, this thread isn't your alarm clock lol"
First, what the hell is that supposed to mean? Second, YOU'RE the one who needs to STFU. Third, for the second time...
GTFO!

Hello to you, also! I have to hope Som isn't really John Green. Gree..."
You're right, John Green would, at the very least, be able to construct a decent argument. I'm just very confused by Som's vehemence.

I would definitely believe that @Som is John Green. His voice is so distinct through all his writing, there's no way to hide the sarcastic pretentious asshole in him. I would love the fact to be revealed so the general opinion of him could be reestablished outside of the rose-tinted hype. Same for Mitch Albom. *My opinions are based only on my reading of the published work of the authors, not personal interaction.
