So at least five years ago I read a book (it was a young adult book) and I really loved it but I forgot the name. All I remember was that it was a male author, and on the cover it had a girl with two different coloured eyes (blue and brown I think, and the title was her name/nickname (one word). The girl on the cover was the main charachter of the story; I can only remember vauge plot points but I think it was about a slavery/orphanage? they all got taken away from their families (their families, however, thought they were happy/working well) their heads shaved, their names removed and given a number (to help them forget their identity?). the girl, who was a bit of a rebel, lives there, not knowing her past, but vying to not forget herself. at the very end, there's a fire or something and she finds out her father runs the whole place? i think. she might die or run away. oh yes. before the fire, she tries to run away but she is dragged back.
