Mackenzie walked on the parhs, heading nowhere in particular she had her nose inside one of her favourite books, A Tale of Two Cities, by Charles Dickens.

April had climbed a tree. Back home there werent many trees around and being in one was so... relaxing. The girl took a deep breath, fresh air filling her lungs. It was nice. Well, at least it was, until a fucking bird came out of nowhere and dive bombed her. She yelped softly and slid off of the branch. The overall panic of falling caused her reach out, grasping for something, anything. In the last second she gripped onto a branch about seven feet off the ground. Yeah, it was time to get out of the tree now. She slowly climbed down, being as careful as possible.

August was walking along the path in her usual tank top, camo pants, and paint stained combat boots. Her left hand was wrapped in bandages covering a fairly new burn scar. A mechanical bow compacted into a small rod inside of a leather pocket on her arm and a silver quiver on her back. August's hair was in a ponytail pieces escaping naturally as she walked humming softly.

Wescott stumbled past the trees of the forest and onto the ordinary camp paths, out of breath. His sky blue eyes were bright from the exercise and adrenaline when he caught sight of August.

August heard someone or thing crash out of forest and onto the path. She had been on edge all day and her first instinct was to pull out her knife but almost dropped it see it was only the blonde haired gallant prankster she loved. "Wes?" she asked surprised then laughed "of all things in the forest I run into you well at least I know you won't kill me," she said walking over to him with a half hug.

Wescott smiled back at her and pulled away. "About that..." he said, glancing over his shoulder. "I think someone or something is following me."

August sighed "Good to see you now battle stations," she said half joking as she reached into the leather pocket pulling out her bow watching the wood as it unfolded as soon as it did she knocked an arrow.

Jeremy stumbled along the path looking around anxiously. He had been officially diagnosed with S.A.D a week ago. A tabby was at his heels as if feeling his masters unease. A knife strapped to his leg under his pant's.

Jeremy yelped crashing to the rocky path. The impact knocked his glasses off his face and the world became blurry. "D-damn it! My g-glasses," he said stuttering as always.

"I-it's fine I wasn't paying a-attention to what was g-going on," said Jeremy taking his glasses placing them on his face.

"I-it's okay," Jeremy said again standing, dusting his knees off.

"J-Jermy," said he flinching a little at the friendly gesture. It was reflex.

Jeremy nodded "Y-y-you as w-well," he said, he leaned on a tree for support.

Jeremy shook his head, "N-nothing y-you need to w-worry about," he said.

Jeremy shook his head again "N-no," he said fixing his glasses.

"I-I guess," said Jeremy hesitantly not quite trusting him.

Clarionite was walking down the paths, she wore her pink hair down but in a braided crown that allowed her unique golden crescent marking to be seen. Only one other sported the same brith mark, her sister Öra though hers was upside down and the color of obsidian. She wore a black sweatshirt with red skinny jeans and her favorite combat boots. Her dagger was in a thigh sheath that was clearly visible.

Illyana bent over her motorcycle at the side of the paths, trying to figure out what had gone wrong with the sleek, black bike. A gentle breeze played with her long, white blond hair- which had been released from her helmet just a moment ago so she could examine the damage. Her clothes consisted of a dark tank top, a pair of black, skinny jeans, a pair of black, combat boots on her feet, and her black, leather jacket to top it off. Hanging from her fair throat was a silver chain with three charms dangling from it. A silver-white crescent, a black dagger, and lastly, a howling, silver wolf.

Clarionite saw someone and her hand went straight towards her dagger as she drew nearer. She walked over to her after seeing the bike out of sheer curiosity "Bike troubles?" she asked.

Jack walked along the paths, breathing in the fresh air. He smiled happily, and felt the cool dirt against his bare feet.

A girl with peach colored hair, quietly giggled to herself as she walked down the path. Every once in awhile her eyes darted back and forth, a little insane like. A black cat with folded ears was softly purring as it followed her down the dirt path.

Jack looked up at the sound of giggling, and saw a girl walking down the path he was on. Her hair was an unnatural color, a custom that he had learned was very common among teenage girls. He saw a black cat padding behind her who looked quite happy, and he thought, If this cat is friends with her, then she must be nice. He walked up to her, and smiled. "Hello," he said. "How are you today?"

The girl looked around not noticing Jack. She heard voices so Kata just thought it was another voice. "Huuuuh? I'm good," She replied with a creepy smile, before actually noticing him. "Oooh! Hiiii!" Kata said, tilting her head and looking at the boy. The cat wrapped itself around her legs, purring happily as it watching Kata and the new person.

Jack noticed how the way she talked and the way she smiled was different from most people he had met, but her emotions felt the same, so he didn't put much thought into it. "I'm Jack," he said. "Your cat likes you very much. Have you been together for a long time?"

Kata thought for a minute of his question. "Niceee to meet you Jack!" She smiled and fixed her head. "Welll.. I don't really remember how looong," Kata replied, looking down at the cat. "His name is Spider and I'm... Uh.." She paused forgetting her own name.

Jack recalled something that Spider had said earlier. "Do you think your name might be Kata?"

Kata blinked looking at Jack, a little confused. "Ah! Yessss!" She smiled, and slightly giggles creepily. My name'ssss Kata," Kata replied. "How did you know that?" She asked, the confused expression appeared on her face again.

"Oh! Well, I'm a son of Pan," he explained. "So, I can understand animals. Spider mentioned your name earlier." He shrugged. It never seemed strange to him, and he sometimes forgot that it may be odd to other people.

"OoOoOh! That's cool!" Kata smiled. She could hear voices, but couldn't understand animals.. Unless it was Spider. "Its is fun beeeeing able to unnnnderstand animalsss?" She asked, her words slightly slurring.

Jack nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, it is! Although I don't really know any different, it is nice to be able to talk to someone without anyone else knowing what you are saying."

Kata giggled and picked up the black cat. "Yeah!" She said and slightly twitched. "It's like when the walls talk to me," Kata replied, with an insane smile on her face. Spider purred and gently nuzzled Kata's cheek, as Kata twitched again.

Jack looked at Kata, amazed. "The walls talk to you? Wow!" Jack smiled, with bright eyes. "What do the walls talk about?"

"A lot of things," She said, softly petting Spider's head. "They tell me stories and jokes. Sometimes, they even sing!" Kata giggled, her golden cat-like eyes sparkled. "Though.. Itsssss probably normal for a child of Maniaaaa to hear thingssss," She slurred, rocking back and forth on the heels of her pastel pink boots.

"Wow," Jack said, eyes wide. "That sounds really cool! Mania, he remembered, madness. He thought he could recall someone else who was mad that he had seen around camp. He believed his name was... Cloud? He wasn't quite sure, but he decided to figure it out later. "As long as the things that you hear are not mean things, that seems very fun."

Kata shrugged and set Spider back down. "They caaaaan be creeeepy sometimessss," She slurred. "I heard there's another child of Mania around here, But he doessssnt socialize thaaaat much," She sighed. "Soooo, Whaaat do you liiike to doooo for fun?" Kata asked, slightly smoothing out the ruffles in her cat dress.

Jack smiled. "I like to go outside, and sometimes I will talk to my bird friend Ona. She isn't here right now, though. I think she said she had family business to take care of." He shrugged. "I usually leave her to her own thing. I also like meeting people very much!"

Spider purred, weaving in and out of Kata's legs. "Oooh! What kind of bird is sheeee?" She asked, tilting her head and twitched.
