(Should some thing interesting happen?)Zane took in their surroundings it was quite beautiful in the woods.
Anna stos when they get to a huge bush. She dismounts and releases Gracie.
(I don't know maybe like a monster attack it could help strengthen their bond)
Zane dismounted as well and lead his mare over to where they were.
"You can let her go," Anna says and pushes part of the bush aside, crawling through a crevice in a large boulder.
Zane let her go but not before giving her another sugar cube he gave one to Ander he held a finger to his lips and winked. Zane followed Anna curious to know where they were going.
Ander whinnies softly after the boy. Anna makes her way through a winding tunnel before coming out on a cliff. The exit of the tunnel and the edge of the cliff are about three meters apart, so it is mostly safe. Hundreds of feet down roars the Atlantic ocean.
Zane poked his head out of the cave and stood up. He saw how high he was and backed up a little.
"Are you afraid of heights?" Anna asks with cincern.
"No I'll be okay. It's just some bad memories that's all," he said.
"Tell me," Anna insists, her eyes sympathetic.
Zane sits down away from the edge "Well alright," he took s deep breath to calm down "I was nine at the time," he began remembering it "I had just run away from the orphanage at the time. I only had a switchblade for a weapon that I had stolen and I had gotten corned by a monster. It was on a cliff by the sea similar to this one. It attacked me and I had almost lost my footing luckily I didn't. The monster on the other hand fell straight into the rocky waters below us. Ever since heights have scared me a bit," said Zane, he was staring off into space remembering it in his mind.
Anna watches with sad eyes. She hugs him tightly, gently rubbing his shoulder. "When I was little, I just woke up here in the middle of camp. Some campers took me to the Big House and I've been here since. I don't remember much of anything before I woke up here... But I have scary dreams about stuff that may, or may not have happened."
Zane froze at the sudden touch then relaxed knowing she meant no harm "That must be hard sometimes," said Zane, he tried to imagine what it would be like but failed "I have nightmares as well only mine aren't just dreams. It's as if I somehow transport myself to Tartarus or I see what's going on... I've seen things that I'll never forget heard things that will never leave my head," he said he shivered remembering them.
"Mine are more...mortal issues," Anna whispers. She shivers hard and curls into Zane. Obviously, something had to be quite terrible.
Zane awkwardly wrapped and arm around her and stroked her hair as a older girl in the orphanage had once long ago when he had nightmares. He smiled at the memory. Before he knew it he was stroking her hair in time to Kookaburra and he began humming along. The girl used to sing him to sleep with the song. He smiled wider remembering how he used to call her sister and she called him little brother, but his smile fades away when he remembered that she was adopted the year he turned nine before she left she gave him a ring and said ,'Take care my little brother.' she kissed his head and Zane never saw her again.
Anna closes her eyes, sighing. "Thank you. I kinda needed that," she says, pulling back. She opens her eyes and softly kisses his cheek, leaning her head on his shoulder. Looking out across the sea, her smile widens as the sun starts to go down in their perfect view.
Zane continued to stroke her hair "Your welcome," he said, his smile returned.
Anna closes her eyes again, finding herself slowly starting to slip into a deep sleep.
Zane looked down at Anna seeing she was falling asleep he asked in a quiet voice, "Are you tired?"
Anna nods slowly, her breathing soft as she slowly falls asleep.
Zane bent his head down and kissed her forehead. Then he held her in his arms for a bit watching as the stars came out one by one.
Anna stays asleep on his shoulder.
Zane started to drift off as well he fought to stay awake not knowing what horrors awaited him in sleep. He lost the battle and fell asleep Anna still in his arms.
Anna wakes later, jerking and stifiling a scream.
Zane was jerked awake from a dream one of the ones that are hard to wake up from. His fear aura slipped from his control and he struggled to contain it as fast as he could. He was frightened himself he had let it slip. He had screwed up. He wasn't sure if he had cussed whatever it was that woke her. he looked at Anna fear visible in his eyes "Is everything alright?" he asked, his voice a little panicky.
Anna doesn't respond, her hands clamped to either side of her skull and her eyes shut tightly.
"Anna?" asked Zane, the fear was now visible in his voice. Fearing it was him he let her go and backed away a little. He pulled a leather cord from underneath his shirt attached was a pendent. He slipped it from around his neck and put it around hers. Knowing the pendent helped to absorb Zane's fear he knew it would help with hers.
Anna instantly curls back into his arms, shaking hard. "Don't let go," she whispers.
Zane wrapped his arms around her "Ok. Anna it's alright but I have to ask, what happened? I need to know if I caused it," he said the last part quite.
"You didn't do anything," Anna whispers and wraps her arms tightly around him.
Zane nodded "Alright that makes me feel better. It's just it slipped from my control for a second and I wasn't sure," he looked down at her "You probably don't have a clue what I'm rambling about, do you?" he said.
Anna shakes her head, but her body is still trembling.
"I give off a very powerful aura of fear, I'm able to control it, but sometimes it slips from my grip and seeps into people causeing them to feel fear. I just wasn't sure if it slipped and that's what caused it," said Zane.
"Okay," he said, he hugged her shaking body close.

Skyler was walking with her half-sister Kendra towards their cabin. She was leaning against her slightly as Skyler had fainted after climbing on the climbing wall. "Honey, what have you been doing to yourself?" Kendra asked. Skyler was much thinner and paler than usual.

"I am just feeling tired," Skyler said, feeling lightheaded.Kendra shook her head. "How can you be tired?" she replied. "You have been in bed for almost a week now. It was a wonder I was able to drag you out of the cabin this afternoon."
Mod
"Maybe this would not be a problem if you just let me stay in bed," said Skyler. The words were meant to be accusing, but the truth was her voice was too weak."Honey," Kendra said, examining her with the eyes of a healer. "Did you eat any of the food I left you?"
Skyler paused. "Yes," she lied.
"You are a terrible liar," Kendra said, accusingly. She grabbed her arm and pulled back the sleeve of her sweater to see her skinny wrists. "You lost weight," she observed. When Skyler did not respond, she said, "It was a boy, wasn't it?" Kendra's gaze softened.

"That wouldn't be any of your business," Skyler said. "Just bring me back to my cabin. Please?" She looked up weakly at Kendra, who sighed."You can tell me anything."
Skyler started to feel faint again. "He thought I was playing a prank on him," she said. "I even told him something I never tell anyone and I kind of... kissed him..."
"And he walked away?" Kendra asked sympathetically.
Skyler shook her head. "He didn't need to. He never liked me in the first place. He was just trying to be nice." She looked down at the ground, biting her lip. She laughed in frustration. "And the funny thing is I knew I should have walked away and I nearly did twice before I laid out my feelings. I guess the joke is on me." She laughed again in anguish and tears pricked the back of her eyes.
"What did he say?" Kendra asked, rubbing her arm gently.
"He asked if there were cameras... And then I ran out of the dining pavilion and went back to our cabin," she said.
"Where you cried and refused to eat or get out of bed for a week," Kendra finished.
